Watching your baby struggle with tension, side preference, or feeding challenges can feel so hard š¤
Weāve been working through a lot of tension with my little one using CST, chiropractic care, and gentle bodywork at home, and Iām so thankful to have tools I can use to help support her between appointments.
In this video, Iām doing gentle RAPID NeuroFascial Reset work on her suboccipitals ā the small muscles at the base of the skull that can contribute to tension, head preference, and feeding discomfort when theyāre tight.
Sometimes the smallest releases can make such a big difference in comfort, movement, and feeds š«¶

⨠My Diastasis Recti Healing Update (Real & Unfiltered) āØ
Immediately postpartum, I had about a 4-finger width diastasis recti. (First video was 9 days postpartum)
Now, at almost 3 weeks postpartum, Iām closer to a 1-finger width š (Second video is today, 18 days postpartum)
And noāthis wasnāt from crunches, planks, or āab workouts.ā
Hereās what Iāve been focusing on:
š« Breathing exercises to reconnect with my deep core
šø Pelvic floor + breath coordination (theyāre meant to work together!)
š§ RAPID neurofascial reset along my linea alba to help restore connection between body and nervous system.
But hereās the most important part š
š Closing the gap is not the main goal.
š Function is the goal ā¼ļø
You can have a small gap and still have poor core function, pain, or leaking.
And you can have a wider gap with great strength, control, and stability.
⨠Core function > aesthetic closure
⨠Connection > intensity
⨠Healing > rushing the process
If youāre immediately postpartum (or years postpartum!), gentle, intentional work can make a HUGE differenceāyour body isnāt broken, and itās never too late to reconnect with your core.

So much scientific evidence to support not giving our kids sugar in the first few years, limiting/avoiding screens, extended rear-facing, etc. But these practices are often looked down on or seen as being too "extreme"
Definitely not judging those who choose to do these things with their kids, but let's start educating ourselves before we judge the parents who do try to limit these things!
Studies have revealed that limited sugar in a babyās first two years of life significantly reduces the long-term risk of developing chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes (by up to 35%) and high blood pressure (by up to 20%).
The first 1,000 days of a childās life-from conception through the first two years of life-is a crucial period for rapid development of the brain, metabolism and learning.
Early high sugar intake can change how the body metabolizes food, leading to increased fat storage, which contributes to obesity and related disease.
Excessive exposure to sugar in the first two years (even in the womb) can lead to metabolic changes that predispose a child to obesity and other metabolic disorders later in life.
Also, the taste buds and preferences are developed in the first few years of life. Consuming a lot of sugar early on can create a lasting preference for sweet foods, making it more difficult to consume a healthy diet in adulthood.
To help, parents can be mindful once the baby arrives and focus on keeping the childās sugar intake low, especially during the first two years and opt for sugars found naturally in whole foods like fruits, which also provide fiber and other nutrients rather than added sugars.

It's Massage Therapy Awareness Week!
Massage therapy is so much more than rubbing someone's muscles and relieving tension.
It's pain management.
It's giving someone back their mobility and freedom.
It's cheering them on and helping them make change .
It's listening to their stories and stressors.
It's giving them hope when they have none left.
It's a life changing career. It's hard, daunting, exhausting and so rewarding. After almost a decade in this profession, I can honestly say it is the kind of career that makes you feel like what you do matters.
Here's to all my fellow RMTs out there giving your all and doing your best - I see you!

Hey all! It's come to my attention that my account has unfortunately been compromised and someone is using my posts and photos and pretending to be me.
It makes me absolutely sick to think about, as they have used a photo of my child. Unfortunately, they've blocked me so I can't report them myself but if you could all do me a solid and report them, I would be forever grateful!
I've certainly learned my lesson to not share photos I wouldn't want cloned and will not be posting family photos anymore.
If you could report them and share this so more people can see to report them as well, that would be amazing. I appreciate you all for helping me with this! ā¤ļø

āļøPlease sign to help us hopefully get rid of GST/HST that massage therapists are still required to chargeāļø
Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are licensed and government-regulated health professionals, just like chiropractors, naturopaths, and acupuncturists. But thereās ONE big difference: RMTs still have to charge GST/HSTāothers donāt!
Massage therapy is a recognized medical treatment, covered by insurance and used to treat real health issuesānot a luxury. Taxing it unfairly raises costs for patients and creates barriers to care and treat others.
This isnāt just about helping RMTsāitās about making healthcare more affordable and fair for everyone!
Ending the tax on RMT services will:
-Lower costs for patients
-Remove unfair double standards
-Help more people access the care they need
We call on the Government of Canada to remove GST/HST from RMT services and support equal treatment in healthcare.
We also call on YOU NOW while scrolling, take a moment to stop the governments outrageous taxing and make treatments and helping your community more important.. all it takes to fill out is general understanding of technology (clicking, scrolling, reading), 4 clicks in 2 minutes.
