Some of the best conversations happen when you're a little out of breath and surrounded by trees.

And honestly, a Thursday evening spent on the trails sounds pretty good to us.

The herd is heading to Odell Park tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. for our weekly trail run. Come enjoy the fresh air, get some miles in, and see where the conversation takes you.

Bring a friend, make a new one, or just show up ready to run. We'll take care of the herd part.

A little look back at yesterday’s run with the herd 🦌

Good miles, good company, and another reminder that running is always better when we do it together.

Want to join us for the next one? We’ll be meeting at Picaroons tomorrow morning at 6:15am for a roughly 6.5km run. All paces are welcome, so come as you are and run your own run.

Bring a friend, come solo, or come ready to meet some new faces. There’s a place for you in the herd.

Community over competition.

Running can be full of finish lines, personal bests and numbers on a watch. But some of the best things about running have nothing to do with any of them.

It's the person who matches your pace so you don't have to run alone. The conversation that makes the kilometres pass a little faster. The familiar faces you look forward to seeing each week, and the new ones who become part of the herd.

There's room for everyone's goals here, but nobody has to prove anything to belong. We show up for the miles, and we keep coming back for the people.

Join us Monday morning at 6:15a.m. at Picaroons Roundhouse. Come for a run, stay for the community. You don't need to know anyone before you arrive.

A few moments from this week’s trail run at Odell Park.

Different people, different paces, one herd. That’s what Devon Deer is about. Showing up, getting out together, and making sure everyone has a place in the group.

Thinking about joining us? Bring a friend, or come on your own. You don’t need to know anyone, and you don’t need to run at a certain pace. There’s room for you here.

There's something special about doing hard things alongside people who want to see you succeed.

Trail running has a way of challenging you. The uneven ground, the hills, the moments when your legs are tired and the trail keeps going. But it's a little easier to keep moving when you're surrounded by people who encourage you, wait for you, and remind you that you don't have to do it alone.

At Devon Deer, challenging yourself doesn't mean competing with the person beside you. It means finding out what you're capable of, at your own pace, with a community that wants to see you get there.

Join us Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the bottom parking lot at Odell Park. Come ready to explore the trails, challenge yourself a little, and spend time with a herd that has your back.

Thanksgiving weekend gave us another reminder of what makes this herd special. It's not just about getting out for a run. It's about the friendships that grow along the way, the conversations that stay with you long after the shoes come off, and the people who make showing up feel a little easier.

Sometimes the most meaningful miles are the ones shared with someone who started as a stranger and slowly became a friend. We're grateful for the connections being built in this community, and for every person who helps make Devon Deer a place where you belong.

And we're back at it tomorrow.

Monday morning road run: 6:00 a.m. at Picaroons Roundhouse.

Monday evening trail run: 5:30 p.m. at Odell Park.

Monday mornings in Fredericton are a little better with a run first.

Meet us at Picaroons at 6:15 a.m., get some miles in with the herd, then stick around for a coffee and a bit of conversation afterwards.

Yesterday, Devon Deer and Stride brought our two running communities together for a morning of running, reflection and connection.

Seeing the herd and the Stride community come together, with so many people wearing orange, was a meaningful reminder of what community can look like when we make space to show up together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the morning and helped make it what it was.
