🧡 **National Day for Truth and Reconciliation | September 30**
Today, Sisterhood of Events pauses to listen, learn, remember, and reflect.
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation honours Residential School Survivors, the children who never returned home, their families, and the communities who continue to carry the lasting impacts of this painful history. It is also a reminder that reconciliation is not simply about remembering the past, it asks us to listen to Indigenous voices, learn the truth, and consider how we can contribute to a more respectful and equitable future.
As a community built around connection, women, and the power of coming together, we believe that **sisterhood also means making space for stories that must be heard.**
Today, we encourage our community to:
🧡 Wear orange in recognition of Every Child Matters.
🧡 Listen to Indigenous voices and stories.
🧡 Learn about the history and ongoing legacy of residential schools.
🧡 Support Indigenous women, leaders, creators, and communities.
🧡 Move beyond awareness toward meaningful action and reconciliation.
We honour the Survivors.
We remember the children.
We hold space for the families and communities affected.
And we commit to continuing to learn.
**Every Child Matters. 🧡**
