The Plan? Have as many dressed goalies of all ages skate the 7.8km length of the Rideau Canal. Date is going to be in January 2023.

Why goalies butterfly. • To be fair, most people understand why. • But to appease those old men yelling at clouds, let’s dive deep. • Now I did my best using squares to represent area but I didn’t have any software to get the specific number. • Going down takes the area of the body that was originally above the cross bar and adds it do the space underneath. • To appease a commenter on my last post about this, “it both changes the distribution and decreases the total number. • When angle, square and depth are all on point, a butterfly with your extremities moving into the puck lane, tends to be the ideal save selection. • If you’re really short, like 11/16/2024

Wanna move better? Lift and skate. Even U8 goalies should do strength training. It is just different than what U20 guys do. There is no reason why not to start strength training when you start hockey. Are You A Small Goalie?! • So what? • As my Annual Small Goalies Series wraps up, let’s talk about what small goalies can do. • A great way to demonstrate this is a pie graph. • 100% of the pie represents the “perfect” goalie. • As you can see, height is a part of the pie.
