A quick look back at last week’s historic announcement at the Club.

On May 25, we proudly announced that we will host the 2027 CPKC Women’s Open. The press conference brought together Laurence Applebaum, CEO of Golf Canada, Maude Marquis-Bissonnette, Mayor of Gatineau, representatives from Ottawa Tourism, members of the media, and more.

The announcement marked the start of an exciting new chapter for our Club, and we look forward to welcoming the best players in the world to The Royal in 2027.

Another successful batch of in-house maple syrup, tapped straight from the trees on our course 🍁

Each frosted bottle is filled, hand-dipped in wax, and finished with a label featuring an original painting by Mr. Bob Fletcher (1921–2003), a longtime Member of the Club.

Big congratulations to Mike Van Sickle, named Canada’s Superintendent of the Year at the 59Club Canadian Service Excellence Awards last week.

In four separate mystery visits last summer, our golf course presentation was rated an outstanding 96.2%, exceeding the industry average by more than 10%.

Proud of Mike and the entire greens team for delivering one of the best‑maintained courses in the country.

Well… the snow showed up early and put an end to our season a day ahead of schedule.

Our crew is now shifting gears and putting the course to bed for the winter. To all our Members and all the guests who had a chance to visit this season, thank you for a great season.

The countdown to spring has officially begun ⏳

The par-3 third hole framed by peak fall colours. According to the NCC ‘Fall Rhapsody’ report, the leaves are currently at their best and this view says it all.
