Hello everybody!!

I hope you have been surviving this cold winter and despite the snow you’re all keeping warm and staying safe. There’s light at the end of the tunnel for the end of this pandemic, can’t wait!

I know today was the day a lot of you have been waiting for with my announcement, so here it is…

A lot has changed for me over the last few months, and just a couple weeks ago I received confirmation that I was accepted for the lab position that I applied for! This position is very important to set me up for success to getting into medical school, and so I have agreed to accept the position. I have also booked my MCAT exam for the end of August, so I will also need some time to study for that.

So, as a result of that decision, unfortunately, I will not be able to teach swimming lessons to your children this summer. I am both happy and saddened about this at the same time, because although I really wanted this lab position, I will really really miss teaching swimming to your children. I love teaching, I really loved all of your kids, it was fun and I really enjoyed seeing them improve throughout the summer.

Going forward, I am not sure what’s in store for me for Summer of 2023, I may be back in Georgetown at my mom’s house, and if I am, I will let everyone know if I am teaching lessons during that summer through an announcement on my page, around the same time next year.

I truly truly enjoyed teaching all of your kids, and hopefully I will see them again if the circumstances allow it in Summer of 2023.

P.S. I am currently studying for 4 midterm exams starting tomorrow while jugging 12-14 hours of lab work a week, so if you send me a message and I don’t respond immediately, that is why, and I will try and get back to you as best I can over the next month or two to follow up on any questions you may have about my lesson services in the future.

Good evening everyone,

I hope everyone has been keeping safe over the past year and had a relaxing and restful holiday break!

I want to thank everyone once again for a fantastic 2021 Summer of swimming lessons, and I thoroughly enjoyed teaching every one of your amazing kids!

I have received quite a few inquiries since the start of the New Year about whether I’ll be hosting my swimming lessons again for Summer 2022, so I have decided to send this message a little early.

Currently, as you all know, COVID isn’t through with us yet, and it appears with the rise of the new Omicron variant the pandemic is far from over.

Therefore, I wanted to provide you with some updates on where I stand right now with my lesson decision.

I am planning on doing a few extra things to get ready for my application to medical school. They are:

1. Write the MCAT for admission
2. Work in a research lab at my university

If both of these commitments were to go ahead, then I wouldn’t be able to host lessons due to the sheer volume of both commitments. However, given the extremely unpredictable situation right now, both of those commitments could easily be cancelled, and I would just move them to the Fall 2022 semester of school. Therefore, I could host my lessons just like last year.

I also wanted to quickly say that I will not be changing my prices this summer. They will stay the same as Summer 2021.

Unfortunately (as it seems for everything these days) I do not have any solid information on if either of those commitments will go ahead or not.

I can say this though. The MCAT registration dates will open at the beginning of February and they’ll let me know if Summer writing times are going ahead. Also, announcements for research positions will be posted around the 3rd week of February.

So here’s what I’m going to do… on Sunday, February 27, 2022, I will release another Facebook post on my business page updating everyone on if I will be hosting lessons or not. I will know exactly what my Summer plans are by that point as my university and the MCAT Administrative Committee will have solid dates for Summer 2022. I apologize that I cannot provide more information at this time, I know that everyone wants to have their summer plans figured out as soon as possible, but given the current situation, I appreciate your patience while I figure out my plans.

Again, I wish everyone a safe and healthy start to 2022 and I look forward to making my future post in about a month’s time from now. Cheers!
