Congratulations to Michelle Cosgrove and Craig Cooper for their fine showing at Crispin's Martial Arts tournament today. Michelle you did great considering it was your first tournament, finishing first in both forms and fighting. You pushed through your nerves being the only white belt in the division and competing against orange belt men. And you Craig, taking two second place finishes in both forms and fighting in the black belt division. Not bad considering it was your first tournament in 10 years! You should both be very proud, I know I am. Keep up the good work! Shihan.

To my students going for their yellow belt grading on the 24th; this is me attempting a side kick on the late great Tony Facetti at my yellow belt grading. So relax; you all have better technique than this! But look at me now; it only took me 45 years and I still haven't got it right. BTW, I passed; but if any of you look this bad, you won't. LOL. Congratulating student Kyle Fegan for his silver medal finish in the black belt division of the Asahi Judo Championships this past weekend. Kyle holds a black belt in Judo, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and is currently studying privately with me to obtain his black belt in Karate. He also plays a mean guitar and an array of other musical instruments. Is this guy multi talented or what?

1st week of the new club went well, everybody worked hard and enjoyed themselves.

I'm baaaack!!! Back in my old stomping grounds of Norval, Ontario (outskirts of Georgetown). I've been re-inspired by a stranger and decided to return to teaching.

I recently received a call from a gentleman who introduced himself as the president of the Halton Hills Sports Museum's Hall of Fame. He informed me that he had nominated me to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He said he had been following my career for some 40 years and felt I was deserving.

It so inspired me, I decided to open up a Martial Arts school in Norval where it all began so that I might give back to the community.
