Last chance to send your projects!!

Full reset coming soon 😃

We'll be closing at 7pm this Wednesday to strip the walls and clean the holds and create a fresh slate for our setting crew. We'll be closed all day Thursday and Friday to set 30 new problems!

Our scramble format competition brings all ages and abilities together for a fun, energy-packed few hours.

30 new problems are set and numbered 1-30. 1 is the easiest and 30 is the hardest. The harder problems score higher; it's that simple. There are four categories, enter the one you best align with; Youth (U15), Beginner (V0-V2) Intermediate (V3-V5), Open (V6+). You have a few hours to try hard, watch and cheer on the other competitors. Bonus: it's Halloween and you can dress up as your favourite super hero!

Additional bonuses:
Lots of prizes! For the winners of the categories but also lots of draw prizes.

Columbia River Catering Co will be in the backyard selling their delicious and powerful food!

Juan Henriquez will be on the mic, amping up the crowd and the climbers 🎤 🔥

Doors open at 8am on Saturday morning. Athlete meeting is at 8:30, and comp starts at 9am. It runs until 1pm with awards shortly after.

We're so excited for this time of year. Temps are crisp, the snow foreshadows what's around the corner, and the gym gets busier!
We love seeing friends reconnect, and new friends walk through our door.
We love seeing the youth try climbing for the first time (and then proceed to flash our projects after only a few weeks 🤣😪).
We love seeing folks try hard, learning and laughing, moving, and meeting new people.
We just love this community!

We've got more fun events happening here this fall: Ben from Element Therapeutics | Golden BC will be hosting a systems training educational session on October 20; we have an Intro to Bouldering course happening the first week of October; and Wildsight will be giving a presentation on endangered black swifts in November.
Stay tuned for more information!

And registration is open for our 4th annual Fluster Crux scramble comp! Halloween style!!
For all those folks who don't like climbing in front of people, this is your chance to dress up and show off your moves anonymously 😎

Join us for some July events!

July 06 kicks off with an Introduction to Bouldering course. This is for anyone who's new to the sport and wants to learn the fundamentals. We'll cover warming up, how to approach the problems, and some essential techniques that will get you going on the right foot. Or is that the left foot?! 🤔 Come find out! This course runs for three consecutive Mondays (from 5:30-7pm) and is free for members. Cost is $85 for non-members which includes a month pass and shoe rentals.

It's not too late to Build Big Endurance!! If you've been wondering how to use the gym to optimize your route climbing endurance this is the clinic for you. We'll touch on a few effective training exercises and protocols, and chat about how to incorporate them into your schedule.
July 08 from 5-7pm.
Free for members; drop-in rate for non-members.

Friday Night Lights are coming! We've got three sessions planned centered on the Grasshopper Board. This system board is a game changer! If you're new to the board then this first session is for you, on July 17. We'll cover the basics of how to connect, adjust the angle of the board, and navigate the app. We'll go through the settings and filters, and eventually set our own problem! This board is so fun! And it's accessible; if you can climb V1 in the gym you can climb on this board.
July 24 is a more advanced clinic where you'll discover some on-the-wall drills that focus on improving your strength and power endurance. If you're not sure of the difference between strength and power this session could be for you!
Monday, July 27 will be the third session; how to use the board to improve our max strength and power. Again, there's a difference! And depending on what we're targeting we can utilize the board in a specific way.
All sessions run from 5-6:30pm and are free for members. Drop-in rate for non-members.
Stay for a BBQ after!

And finally, new routes coming July 22 (finally!!). Juan and Ty will be back in the house curating their finest in the cave and 25° wall.
