Building a well-nourished community begins with access.

Our Community Vending Machines offer freshly prepared meals and snacks for 25¢ per item making it easier for community members to access healthy food.

Over the past two months, we've stocked our Community Vending Machines with more than 1,700 freshly prepared meals and snacks, helping ensure nutritious food is available when it's needed.

Today, we celebrate the young people in our communities. While they may have different experiences and circumstances, they share many of the same hopes for their future.

This International Youth Day, let's listen to young voices, create space for their participation, and build communities where every young person has the opportunity to thrive.

It’s almost time for our annual Purolator Tackle Hunger Red Bag Campaign! 🛍️

Once again, our amazing Grand Valley community has the opportunity to come together & help support local families in need. Every bag filled makes a difference ❤️

📦 BAG DELIVERY DAY
📅 Sunday, September 13

Fill your Red Bag with non-perishable food items and leave it somewhere visible on your porch or driveway.

🚚 BAG PICK-UP DAY
📅 Sunday, September 20
⏰ Please have your filled bag out before 10:00 a.m.

Our Purolator drivers and community volunteers will be out collecting your donations!

🥫 What to fill your bag with:
• Pasta & pasta sauce
• Canned vegetables & fruit
• Canned beans, fish & meat
• Rice & whole-grain cereals
• Peanut butter & other high-protein foods
• Canned soups & tomatoes
• Powdered milk & other non-perishable dairy
• 100% fruit juice

Every donation, big or small, helps Tackle Hunger right here in our community. ❤️

All donations collected in Grand Valley will support Dufferin Food Share and help local families.

Meet Kate, Margaret, Barb, and Lyle! They're part of the incredible team of volunteers and staff that help our Community Kitchen thrive. From peeling potatoes to prepping meals, the amazing Community Kitchen team helps feed our community through programs like
our Community Vending Machines.

Last month alone, this amazing team prepared more than 1,700 meals and snacks for our three Community Vending Machines, providing access to healthful food for community members in Dufferin.

The Hills of Headwaters Collaborative Team will be on site at Dufferin Food Share Grand Valley on Tuesday August 4,from 10:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.

Care Days bring health and social services together in one welcoming place, making it easy to connect with caring professionals and community resources.
