We are off to our final stop of the 2026 WPCA Tour! We can’t believe this summer has went by so quickly.

Thank you Dawson Creek Exhibition & Stampede for the great week of racing!

Thank you once again to Red Pheasant Cree Nation / Eagles Landing for their continued support! We appreciate the support so much.

We are quickly approaching Battle of the Rockies - Rocky Mountain Chuckwagon Association, we are looking forward to the last 5 days of racing!

Thank you once again to each and everyone of you for the love and support to our family and team!

As many of you know, our team suffered a devastating loss when our truck, trailer, quad, chuckwagon along with numerous other chuckwagon racing equipment were destroyed in the highway 2 vehicle fire.

We are incredibly grateful that everyone and all our horses are safe.

As requested by many, Chanse and Brie Vigen have graciously set up a GoFundMe account to start to process of our rebuild!

The love and support received by absolutely everyone has been astronomical! Whether that be dropping meals off, special treats for the crew, lending us a stove for the wagon or special tools needed for racing, dropping in for a quick morning coffee to see how things are going or just to simply put a smile on our faces, it’s truly all so appreciated.

Every bit of support, shares, and kind words means the world to our family during this difficult time.

In moments like this, you realize what truly matters. We are lost for words as we had a devastating loss to our chuckwagon team yesterday evening. We lost our truck and trailer in a fire, along with the the quad, wagon and other items to go along with the care of the horses and personal belongings.

Words cannot express how thankful we are for the overwhelming love, thoughts, and prayers from our family and friends. It was an incredibly terrifying experience, but we are holding each other a little tighter today knowing everyone is safe.

We also wanted to give thanks to the Lacombe Fire Department for their quick response and support during the time of the incident. 

We are hoping for better luck as we finish off the last 2 shows of the season, with Dawson Creek starting tomorrow and Rocky Mountain House starting August 12th.

We will keep you guys posted, as we start to re-build.

FINAL DAY IN WAINWRIGHT CANCELED

Due to heavy rain, the World Professional Chuckwagon Association (WPCA) Championship Sunday races at the Wainwright Stampede have been canceled.

The WPCA extends its sincere appreciation to the Wainwright Stampede Committee for their extensive efforts, hard work, and commitment throughout the event.

Following three completed nights of competition, Rae Croteau Jr. posted the fastest aggregate time and will be officially recognized as the 2026 Wainwright Stampede Champion.

The WPCA thanks the fans, drivers, sponsors, volunteers, and the Wainwright community for their support and understanding as weather conditions made it impossible to complete the final day of racing.

It’s been a busy week keeping the wheels turning at the Wainwright Stampede!
