Team Krisko Curling

Well, we’ve been curling 5-6 days per week since October and we wrapped up our Men’s League play on a high note, winning the year-end bonspiel.

Since October we’ve been sparing every Monday for Super League, resting on Tuesdays, Men’s League on Wednesdays as Team Adventure Physiotherapy with our buddy Lenox Maksymetz, Men’s League on Thursdays as Team Krisko with our friend Mark Heartt, bonspiels most weekends and practices on Sunday afternoons when we could.

It was a fun winter! We’re so proud of the way we played and grateful for the friends we made. We’re already making plans and setting goals for next year!

Lenox, Rolynd, Dieter & Eli (and Delia) finished the round robin with a 5-1 record. Playoffs start tonight at 7:00, against Team Sherwick. Win or lose it’s been a great weekend but, as always, we hope to be curling on Sunday, too!

We’re a little late in making a post because it’s already Day Two at U15 Provincials at Red Deer Curling Center. Eli is proud to be part of Team Maksymetz, and with a win yesterday afternoon they’re off to a great start! Their next game is this morning at 9:00 against Team Livi Maksymetz. They play again today at 2:00 & 7:00 so they have a very busy day ahead! Thanks to Curling Alberta and Servus Credit Union for putting on this event and as always the biggest thanks to Delia de Jong & Rob Maksymetz for their unwavering support.

🥌 PROVINCIAL SILVER! 🥈

Our PWA Senior Boys Curling Team wrapped up provincials with a silver medal after a hard-fought battle in the final. What an incredible showing of determination, teamwork, and heart on the ice.

This team battled end after end and represented PWA with pride, composure, and class. We couldn’t be more proud of the way they competed all weekend.

Congratulations, boys. You’ve earned every bit of that silver 💙🖤

Big day for these guys! Lenox, Rolynd, Dieter & Eli have played their hearts out at Alberta Winter Games 2026 in Cold Lake. They earned their spot in the gold medal game which starts at 9:00 this morning!

Thanks so much to Coach Rob Maksymetz and also a huge shout out to our girls team, Team Maksymetz Curling for making it to the gold medal game as well!
