After 17 years, night racing returned to Sudbury Kartways — and what a comeback it was! 🔥

The Kid Karts kicked off the evening with plenty of laps and smiles before the big boys and girls of the Sudbury Kart Club took to the track under the lights. The racing was fast, the atmosphere was incredible, and the crowd showed up in full force! 🏎️💨

Junior saw another first-time winner as Alistair Smith picked up his first victory with the club since making the move from our Arrive & Drive league this season! 🏆👏

In Senior, Joey Haynes continued his incredible run with his 5th straight victory, while rookie Andrew Ross made his first appearance on the podium with a hard-fought 3rd place! 🔥🏆

A massive thank you to our event sponsor, REIC Rentals, for providing the lighting that made this night possible. When a small electrical fault forced a quick pivot during the evening, the REIC team didn’t miss a beat and helped get everything back on track for the final races. We can’t thank you enough for your support and patience! 💡👏

After 17 years, the Sudbury Kart Club is bringing night racing back to Sudbury Kartways for the first time since 2009! Tuesday, August 25th is the big night, and we are ready for an evening of racing unlike anything we’ve seen in a long time. 🔥🏎️💨

It may have been a cool morning at Sudbury Kartways, but things heated up quickly once the green flag dropped! 🏎️💨

We welcomed another new Kid Kart driver to the group this weekend, continuing to grow the next generation of racers. 👏

The Junior class saw Madison Griffith pick up her second win of the season, while Jackson Ospina put on a fightback after a brake failure during the Pre-Final. 💪🏆

And in Senior, Joey Haynes put together another incredible weekend. After qualifying P5, Joey fought his way forward to win both the Pre-Final and Final, extending his winning streak to four straight victories! 🔥🏆

The short break may have given everyone a chance to rest and recharge, but you can be sure our drivers are ready to get back to what they do best. With the championship battles beginning to take shape, every qualifying lap, every pass, and every point will be more important than ever.

We’ve already seen incredible racing all season long, with close battles, exciting passes, and first-time podium finishers making their mark. As we head into Race 6, the pressure is on, and we can’t wait to see who takes another step toward championship glory! 🏆

The Sudbury Kart Club will be attending the Sudbury Classic Cruisers 33rd Annual Car Show this Sunday at Copper Cliff Park, and we’re looking for a few members to help represent the club throughout the day!

No experience is necessary! Just bring your enthusiasm for karting and be ready to chat with members of the community about what makes Sudbury Kart Club such a special place.

Whether you’ve been racing for years, are a parent of a driver, or are newer to the club, we’d love to have you join us. You don’t need to commit to the entire event either. If you’re only available for a few hours, we’d still greatly appreciate the help!

This is a fantastic opportunity to:

After weeks of smoky skies, Mother Nature gave us a break just in time for race day! With the wildfire smoke clearing and the weather cooperating, conditions were perfect for a full day of exciting racing at Sudbury Kartways. 🌤️🏎️

The action was fast from the very first green flag! In Junior, rookie Jackson Ospina raced to his first-ever Sudbury Kart Club victory, becoming the third different winner in five races this season. 🎉 Meanwhile, Joey Haynes continued his winning ways in Senior, capturing his third consecutive victory as the championship battle continues to heat up. 🔥🏆

The summer heat was turned up at Sudbury Kartways, but so was the competition! 🔥 From Kid Kart to Junior and Senior, every class delivered exciting racing, close battles, and plenty of smiles throughout the day.

The Junior class welcomed its first new winner of the season as Madison Griffith took the top step of the podium after an action-packed day. Meanwhile, the Senior class saw its first repeat winner of the year, with Joey Haynes becoming the first driver to earn a second victory this season. As we head into the second half of the championship, the points battles are heating up just as much as the weather! ☀️🏆
