🏀 First day of our new basketball program in partnership with the Greater Sudbury Police Service Big thanks to the officers for supporting the kids and making this initiative possible. Excited for the weeks ahead of growth, teamwork, and fun on the court! 💪🔥

This week, the Sudbury Basketball Facility (SBF) in collaboration with our Youth Safety Coordinators and facilitated by members of our basketball team launched a youth basketball camp proudly funded by the Greater Sudbury Police Service Board.

This initiative is deeply rooted in community and remembrance. In honour of Jeffrey Mason, who was tragically killed in 2006, his family generously donated to the Board Trust Fund to support youth programming — specifically basketball. Their legacy has helped inspire and uplift young lives for nearly two decades.

This fall, the remaining funds have been dedicated to a nine-session basketball camp running every Tuesday until November 11th at SBF. Seventeen youth from grades 6 to 8 were selected by Youth Safety Coordinators in collaboration with staff from our four local school boards.

Together, we’re building confidence, connection, and community — one basket at a time. 🏀💙

🔥🍔 Burger Wars 2025 🍔🔥

Had the awesome opportunity to be a judge at this year’s Burger Wars—where local restaurants went head-to-head for the title of best burger in town.

The Italian Stallion — a juicy beef patty stuffed with creamy artichoke dip and topped with smoked mozzarella. A bold twist that definitely earned my vote. 💯

Big shoutout to Cheff Jeff.
Big "Thank You" to Kim Chiarot, Gerry Laugheed.

It was a blast being part of something that celebrates great food and local talent.

🏀 That burger was a straight-up slam dunk.

Pesto’s is serving up their featured burger in support of L’Arche Sudbury. Every burger ordered means $3 directly donated to build more inclusive programs and support adults with intellectual disabilities.
