This weekend our GSSC U8 Girls participated in their very first festival together as a team!

The girls showed tremendous determination, grit, and heart throughout the day. From start to finish, they worked hard, supported one another, and never gave up.

We are incredibly proud of how they performed and the teamwork they displayed on and off the field. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see what this amazing group accomplishes together!

⚽️ GSSC Impact U9 Boys kicked off their season with an impressive opening weekend, finishing with a 6-2 win and two hard-fought losses against older competition.

The boys showed incredible determination against Wasaga, battling back from a 3-1 halftime deficit. Goals from Clark and Junior sparked a dominant second-half performance, but the equalizer just wouldn’t come.

They carried that energy into a commanding 6-2 victory over Collingwood, with goals from Archie, Xander, Clark (2), and Zayden (2). Strong defending and excellent play out of the back helped the Impact control the match from start to finish.

The weekend wrapped up with a 3-1 loss to Creemore in challenging rainy conditions. Clark found the back of the net, while Xander and Zayden came up with several key saves, including a penalty stop by Zayden.

The coaches are incredibly proud of this group. Competing in a division above their age level, the boys proved they can compete with anyone. The future is bright for the GSSC Impact U9 Boys! 🔴⚪️⚽️

⚽️🪿🏆 GSSC U12G are NDSC Tournament Champions! 🏆🪿⚽️
This past weekend in North Bay the U12 girls demonstrated that teamwork, persistent offense and commitment to defence is a recipe for Championship success.
The girls came into the weekend looking to build off the start of the season and communicate effectively with their teammates; gaining momentum each game they played. The offense was on fire and full display, exhibited by having a 3-0 record in the round robin with 21 GF and 2 GA with wins against Muskoka FC, NDSC and Collingwood United. In the semi finals, the GSSC U12G met Muskoka FC again and came away with a 5-0 victory setting up a final against Soo Jr United. In a tightly contested first half, the team pressed but failed to break through. Shortly after halftime, the girls were able to score when Layla found the back of the net to break the deadlock and the girls didn’t look back. They were able to add 2 more goals by Ciara and Layla, to claim the NDSC Tournament with a 3-0 victory.
GSSC Goalscorers for the weekend were Layla (8), Marguerite (7), Sophie (3), Milania (2), Olena (2), Arianne (2) with singles by Margot, Zanira, Rory, Kenzie and Ciara. The defensive back line of Valentina, Reese, Justine and Lily was solid in defense and distributed the ball consistently which helped Matilda record 3 clean sheets all on Sunday to claim the title.

🏆 U17 Boys Advance in the Ontario Cup! 🏆

The U17 Boys travelled to Scarborough today for Ontario Cup action. Despite a 50-minute delay due to thunderstorms, the team remained focused and ready to compete.

The boys put together an excellent first half, creating numerous scoring chances and heading into the break tied 1-1. They continued to push forward in the second half, showing great determination and resilience to earn a hard-fought 2-1 victory.

With the win, the U17 Boys move on to the next round of the Ontario Cup! 👏⚽

A tremendous effort from the entire squad. On to the next round!

Our U11 Boys YSRL team drove an hour to the North Bay festival today, and you should all be incredibly proud of our players! They absolutely crushed it: 3 wins, 15 goals scored, and 0 goals conceded! 🚫⚽ (Defense practices worth it)

​William Bulman also stood tall in net to keep a clean sheet! 🧱

​Nana bagged 2 goals in the third game to secure the victory against our big northern rivals, North Bay! 🏆
