Team Perreault

Well, the ice has melted so it’s time for our year end wrap up for the 2025/2026 season!

This was our second full year as a team. We increased the amount of bonspiels this year, participated in the U18 and U20 provincials, engaged a mental performance coach and sprinkled in some extended travel!

While we have yet to capture our first title, we have improved so much since last year and look forward to what the future brings.

We all participated on our respective school teams and all 3 teams qualified for the NOSSA finals. Grace went to on attend OFSAA in Thunder Bay while Sophie represented Northern Ontario as an alternate for Team Baker at the U20 Nationals in Sudbury.

We would like to thank our coach, Dave Connors, for his time, dedication and passion he brings to the team. We also want to thank Lauren Rajala for her technical coaching support and time! You are both a big part of our success! Thank you our families, friends, fans, sponsors and everyone who supported us throughout this season! We see all of your likes and comments and are so grateful you are on this journeys with us!

And to our parents who sacrifice nights, weekends, vacation, gas, and your sanity to be there for us for our high highs and low lows. There are no words for how much it means to us.

Big shout out to our skipper Sophie! Congratulations on your first national experience!

While they didn’t rack up as many wins as they had hoped, Team Baker were also among the youngest curlers at the 2026 U20 National Championships in Sudbury. Rhya Baker and her team showed incredible resolve and resilience and never gave up against stiff competition from much older and experienced teams from across Canada.

For Team Perreault skip Sophie, being welcomed within Team Baker as their alternate for the entire week was an experience she will forever be grateful for. This nicely capped off a year of growth for Sophie with the Team Perreault successes at the U18 Runback Championships and strong showings at the OWG qualifiers, U18 and U20 provincials as well as Sophie skipping the College Notre-Dame girls to SDSSAA Gold and NOSSA Gold!

Thank you Team Baker for making this end of the 2025/2026 curling season so memorable! Team Perreault will be looking forward to competing with the next instalment of Team Baker during the 2026/2027 season!

Hanging with the Horgans

Grace’s Marymount Academy Regals final round robin game came down to last rock but it just wasn’t enough to capture the win. They sit 2-2 after the round robin and their OFSAA journey has unfortunately come to an end.

Fun fact (and silver lining): Grace scored the 2nd best L*D of all the girls in the tournament! Congratulations Grace!!!
