On this World Kindness Day, let's recognize that amidst all the chaos, struggles, and injustices, kindness is the quiet revolution we can all be a part of.

To those navigating life while carrying extra burdens simply because of who you are — to the overlooked and underestimated — know this: your resilience is a testament to your strength.

In a world that often forgets your humanity, be kind to yourself and extend that kindness to others who understand the fight. Small acts of kindness can be a powerful form of resistance. Let’s lift each other up, show compassion, and remember that every moment of empathy is a step toward a more just world. ❤️

Keep going. We see you, we stand with you, and we believe in the change you’re creating.

39 and feeling fine! 🥂🍾

This year has been all about embracing my journey, letting go of the weight of others’ opinions, and finally seeing myself clearly. Growth doesn’t happen overnight, but every step has brought me closer to the person I’m meant to be.

Here’s to knowing myself better, standing confident in who I am, and looking forward to everything this next year has in store. Cheers!

Next up, glory forty!

Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday. I'm truly blessed to not only have the love and support I do, but also the privilege of aging. The last year of my thirties is going to be the best one yet.

Yesterday I crossed the finish line of my first Spartan race, and I’m beyond proud of myself. Man that was tough! 💪

This race wasn’t just about physical endurance for me but also about building mental toughness and proving to myself that I can do hard things.

A huge shoutout to my brother for being my biggest supporter, encouraging me every step of the way. Your belief in me kept me going when things got tough.

My kids did their race today and absolutely nailed it. So proud of them too.

Grateful for the journey and everything it taught me! Already looking forward to doing it again next year.

As we mark Thanksgiving in Canada, it’s important to pause and reflect on the deeper history of this land. Thanksgiving is often seen as a time of gratitude and togetherness, but we must also recognize that the origins of this celebration are intertwined with the colonization of Indigenous lands and peoples.

Today, we honour the resilience, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous nations, who have stewarded this land for centuries. Let’s take this opportunity not only to express gratitude but to commit ourselves to truth, reconciliation, and supporting Indigenous communities in meaningful ways.

This Thanksgiving, let’s remember the true history of this land, listen to Indigenous voices, and work towards a future of justice and healing.

Which one do you embody most often?

Today we celebrate .

Opal Lee advocated for FORTY years to make Juneteenth a national holiday in the United States. If that doesn’t tell you it’s worth fighting for, I don’t know what is.

Let’s honour Opal Lee today and every day for the incredible impact she made on emancipation. But let’s also acknowledge that there’s still work to be done.

Reparations.
Celebrating the resiliency of Black people.
Being anti-racist.
Acknowledge unearned privileges and dismantling the white supremacy that is so woven into our society.

Which of these are you going to commit to today and how will you keep yourself accountable?

Embrace the power of authenticity. Be your true self, know where you stand, and identify who you are and the kind of life you want to lead.

You might just ignite a spark that inspires others to do the same. Let your light shine brightly, unapologetically, and watch as the world embraces the beauty of your authentic self rather than force their expectations on you.

After all we live for us, not them.

Today we celebrate all of our trans brothers and sisters. You may wonder why I, a cis lady, care so much about trans people. But let me ask you this - should only disabled people advocate for themselves? What about the fellow white people who protest for Black Lives Matter? We cannot leave it up only to the people facing marginalization to advocate for themselves.

Regardless of who you are, where you're from, and whether you identify with the ge****ls you had at birth, be a decent human being and support trans people.

Even if it's different. Or if you think it goes against your religious beliefs. Or if you just don't get it.

It costs nothing to be kind.

And plus, the authenticity a trans person experiences by living their true lives is completely admirable ❤️🏳️‍⚧️

Join me in being a decent person, k?

Have you ever considered that the cost of NOT adopting inclusive practices far outweighs the cost of implementing them?

What are the costs, exactly? Read my newest blog post to find out!

I would love to hear your thoughts!

I don't even know where to begin about Montreal and my experience at Metropolis Canada.

There were so many though provoking conversations about immigration and the future of immigration in Canada.

A lot of discussions around mindset shifts for Canadians, ways to sustain immigration levels, improving labour market integration outcomes, and many many more.

I presented at the Conference about a federally funded project that I oversee. It was great because I'm very passionate about supporting skilled immigrants with improving employment outcomes.

Everyone deserves to live the life they were meant to and use their skills even if they were gained on the other side of the world.

Let's all just embrace the amazing experiences, knowledge and perspectives that people bring to Canada and use it as a strength, not a detriment.

So tell me, do you think immigration as a whole brings good to Canada?
