We’re moss girls🌱 if you didn’t already know, moss actually stays green all winter despite the harsh conditions This is because moss actually has the ability to go format during the winter through a process called poikilohydry This allows certain plants like moss too lose practically all of its water contents and then rehydrate when its available, making it pretty much invincible to cold temperatures. Most moss stays green all winter!❄️ I like the symbolism here, and how resilient moss can be during the harshest times of the year. If you haven’t heard the buzz, @skatefantom just released a magazine in which they played a drinking game—drinking every time someone in a skate video “stepped up” or failed to “lock in.” And I’m angry about it. Because these are skaters of influence. Skaters that beginners look up to. And they have ADMITTED that they make fun of skaters like me. That videos like mine are only good for a laugh. An excuse to get drunk (which is a whole separate conversation). This article is exclusionary, cliquey, and makes beginners feel like they aren’t good enough to post clips because they can’t do tricks perfectly. Honestly, real mean girl vibes. And I’m not here for it. I am a beginner. MOST of us are beginners!!! EVERYONE was a beginner at some point. And I refuse to be ashamed to be seen trying. So here are some clips that would get the people at @skatefantom drunk. I hope they enjoy alienating their following.
