First and foremost, this weekend showed just how close-knit our team really is.

Our competition team may be small, but all three of our athletes delivered breakthrough performances Next Gen Jiu-Jitsu Events tournament.

Gabe showed incredible top pressure and control throughout every match. A few minor mistakes near the end cost him, but the progress was undeniable—and there was never any lack of heart. GabeHybridATX

Joe went to work with his signature attacks and dropped a close match on points without facing any serious submission danger. He also released a deep submission after hearing a loud pop, choosing his opponent’s safety over forcing the finish. We hope his arm is okay. Huge respect to Joe for stepping up despite a demanding work schedule that limits how often he can train. With a few small adjustments, the result could have looked very different.Joe_Legate

Finally, Remi had the breakthrough we all knew was coming. At just his fourth tournament, he submitted his first two opponents in short order and earned a spot on the podium in a deep bracket. After some tough setbacks in previous competitions, it was incredible to watch him overcome those mental barriers and perform the way we all knew he could. Re*****on Dosman

Our coaches could not be prouder of the effort shown by all three athletes. Results matter for a moment, but the experience and growth last much longer. Stepping onto the competition mats is admirable, win or lose—and seeing our teammates succeed feels like winning ourselves.
