Programs available for all ages

Knee High Ninjas (3.5-6yrs)
The Knee High Ninjas Program is a fun filled and positive learning experience for small martial artists. The martial arts program is for preschoolers, kindergartners and first graders. Our Knee High Ninja Program strengthens the development of basic good habits such as focus, concentration, cooperating with others, respect for yourself and others, self control and self discipline. While children will be learning solid martial arts basics, they will also be enhancing their motor skills and coordination, as well as the Guelph Family Martial Arts to anti-bullying: which is developing tremendous self confidence and discipline. Youth Program
Combining physical exercise, motor skill development, martial arts and life skills training, the curriculum is designed to build confidence and character and the ability to stand up to negative peer pressure and making positive choices. The importance of this is that it develops the principle of goal setting. The awarding of higher levels of belts gives your child a sense of achievement and accomplishment. Adult Program (16+)
Our adult program is designed to help adults train their mind, body and spirit. Our curriculum will help manage stress, improve mental clarity and increase flexibility while learning valuable self defense. Aero-Kickboxing Program (16+)
Aero-kickboxing is more than a pure cardio event; it lets you release pent-up tension, improves your balance and strengthens your core to the beat of the music! The GFMA Aero program brings practical aspects of self defense techniques to a bag blasting powerhouse of a workout that is so much fun, that once a week will not be enough!

We had a wonderful time at the Shelldale Block Party celebrating the people, families and organizations who continue to make a difference in our community!

At GFMA, being actively involved in our community has always been an important part of who we are. Whether through local events, demonstrations, partnerships, charitable initiatives or youth programming, we want to use what we do to make a positive impact beyond the martial arts studio.

What an incredible day celebrating community at the West Village Co-op Fall Fair! 🍂❤️

This event is such a wonderful reminder of what makes our community so special — families coming together, neighbours connecting, kids having fun, and local organizations sharing in a day filled with so much positive energy.

A huge thank-you to West Village Co-op for everything they do for families, youth, and the greater community. Their commitment to creating opportunities for connection, belonging, and community engagement extends far beyond this one event, and we are always grateful to be a part of it. 🙏

Team GFMA had an amazing time meeting so many families, seeing familiar faces, making new connections, and sharing our love of martial arts with the community. 🥋❤️

For the first time, we brought our Women’s Self-Defence Workshop outside of Guelph — and Hamilton completely SOLD OUT.

Seeing a room filled with women and girls coming together to learn, support one another, build confidence, and feel more prepared was incredibly meaningful.

What started in our own community has continued to grow, and having the opportunity to bring this work to another city was something very special for all of us.

A heartfelt thank you to MPP Monica Ciriello and the YMCA of Hamilton, Burlington & Brantford for their incredible partnership in making this possible. From the very beginning, this was a true community effort, and we are so grateful for the support, trust, and shared belief in the importance of this work. ❤️

And to every single person who joined us — thank you for showing up, stepping outside your comfort zone, and making our first workshop in Hamilton one we will always remember.

Guelph was where it started.
Hamilton was the next step.
And we’re excited to bring these workshops to even more cities and communities. ❤️💙

We were so proud to be part of an incredible afternoon at Taste of Guelph in support of St. Joseph’s Health Centre!! 🙌❤️

Those funds will help purchase vital medical equipment and support exceptional care across complex hospital programs, rehabilitation, palliative care, and long-term care. 💕

Days like this are such an amazing reminder of what makes our community so special. When the community comes together, incredible things happen. 🥰
