As we end another season of bear viewing in the wilderness of British Columbia, it breaks my heart to send portions of our Conservation Fee to Libearty Sanctuary in Romania, where they offer compassionate care and sanctuary to formerly captive brown bears of Eastern Europe. Each year Kynoch adventures supports this facility to provide empathy and compasion to these troubled bears that have been captive for most of their lives. It is not a solution or an option for rehabilitation, these bears cannot be rehabilitated, the human damage has been done. But they are offered an opportunity to live their remaining days and years with compasion and dignity. ❤️

It's always with great heartache that Kynoch Adventures makes a Donation to Libearty Brown Bear Sanctuary in Romania.
Kynoch has added 1 new bear to our adopted clan of sanctuary bears! We now sponsor 5 bears, one for each of our guides! This is only possible through the guests visiting us to learn about our wild bears still roaming in Bella Coola.

The sanctuary is a hospice, not rehabilitation. It is truly heartbreaking to see the misery these bears endured in captivity before finding Sanctuary. Meet Bam, Chery, Enoch, Epizon and our newest clan member Victoria 😉. See everyone in 2023!
