Like yoga, breadmaking is a practice for me, and like yoga, some days are better than others! I was distracted by the ten thousand other things going on in my life, and these Harvest Grain loaves got a wee bit overproofed, but they still made for pretty good eating. Like how even a bad yoga practice is a good yoga practice, ya feel me?

I’ve never been a pray-er, but this class felt like a prayer. My first Modo class in almost a year… after selling MYH, I needed a little space in order to be able to let go. But my body has been craving the comfort of that perfect series, so ventured out to . Once I got on my mat, it was like my body just recited the practice, and it felt so, so good (not to mention the joy of being led by my old yoga bud ). So grateful for 💗💗💗

🤩Afternoon Breadmaking Workshops! 🤩 While there’s nothing quite like a weekend away making sourdough, learning how to make two different yeasted breads in one afternoon is pretty darn great too! You assemble the group and clean off your kitchen counter, and I’ll do the rest… DM me for me details!

Get to know your host! ✨ You may already know Jo as the founder of Modo Yoga Halifax, but did you know that she is currently training to become a professional Pastry Chef? Her love affair with baking started with sourdough. She made a *lot* of bad bread before realizing that what was missing from her breadmaking was… yoga! Once she started bringing the mindfulness techniques she’d learned through yoga to her breadmaking, everything changed 💕 “These weekends are so special to me because they bring together my two favourite things - yoga and bread - in one of my favourite places in the province. The combination is nothing short of magic!” ✨
