I'm happy to announce that we had a successful Movember run. Joel and Matthew were joined this year by new comers BJ and Kelly - raising $1271 and looking fantastic while doing it.
I want to thank everyone who donated this year. When we started this last year our goal was a $500 and I wasn't even sure we'd make that.
The donation page is stil ll open if you want to contribute in post. If not, we'll see you again next year!

With one day until the Movember race, I am happy to announce that the Denim Daddies have met (and surpassed) our goal of $1250. We've officially beat last years numbers.
I want to thank everyone for their donations. If you didn't get a chance to donate, it's open all of November. Personally I'll be donating a dollar for every kilometre I run in November.

With five days away until the Movember Halifax run, we've broken last years donations by over $100 and are only 60$ away from this year's goal.

Good morning shipmates and happy Monday! It's another week to serve the King and another week to raise money for men's health.
Fun fact: this famous poster of Lord Kitchener was based on a photo of him demonstrating to his field doctors on how to give a prostate exam. Wow!

Denim Daddies started as a running team by Joel and Matthew for the Movember Halifax 6k Run. To raise money for men's health, we made incentives:
$150 donated and we'd do the run in jean shorts (aka jorts).
$300 donated and we'd do the run in jean jackets as well as the aforementioned jorts.
$500 donated and we'd do all the above and grow ridiculous mustaches.
We greatly underestimated the generosity of our friends and families and their eagerness to see us in b***y jorts. We smashed the $500 goal at a whopping $1170.
This year Matthew and Joel return, bringing new comer (but long time denim fan) BJ and we're going to do even better. We want to break the goal of last year at $1250. I'm so confident that we can do it that I'm not even going to worry about the incentives: we're going to run in denim no matter what.
