Fall River's Emma Archibald is about to hit the world stage as the Milano-Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games kick off today. Archibald is the first Nova Scotian to compete in Para nordic cross-country skiing at the Games. Her events take place on March 10 and March 15.

Pictured here is Archibald at the 2023 Canada Winter Games as part of Team Nova Scotia, where she won a pair of gold medals.

Curling is for everyone — and that includes those with mobility challenges! ♿

The Sydney Curling Club is excited to welcome new participants to Wheelchair Curling, an adaptive and inclusive way to enjoy the sport. It’s open to anyone 16+ with mobility issues — whether you use a wheelchair or not.

We’re seeking athlete volunteers for Sport Nova Scotia’s Parasport Athlete Engagement Council! We are looking for individuals who want to:

✅ Amplify the voices of athletes living with a disability or disabilities

✅ Support the development of athlete-centered sport practices

✅ Create avenues for community-based Parasport education and awareness initiatives
