Today was certificate day for Hardison Wang, Zhenyu Zhang, and Tulio Carpenter. Congratulations again on passing your gradings back in November. Keep doing us proud!

Last night we had our last class with Ayaka who's been studying in Canada for the last nine months! Have a safe flight home to Osaka. EVeryone is going to miss you here! It was lovely to see you build friendships and find a home with us 😁 There's always a place for you here.

Our second open house of the year was another big hit. Hopefully we get some new faces around the dojo! Thank you to everyone who came out the last two weekends to give Kendo a try 🙂

Our first intake open house was a success! Lots of curious people getting into the swing of things 😁

Our second free open house for beginners will be next Sunday at 11:30am!

It finally happened, a class big enough that our bogu extended into the second line!

This weekend we once again hosted Kunhee Shawn Kim Sensei from North York Kendo. I'm very happy to say this has been our biggest turn out so far. Our little kendo club that hugs the Atlantic Ocean continues to grow.

Our biggest thanks to Kim Sensei for coming and pushing everyone forward. Judging from the giant exhausted smiles everyone appreciated all the things you taught over the last few days.

To all our kendoka who came out this weekend. Thank you for working so hard and with such enthusiasm. These events are only possible when all of you participate! Let's continue to grow Atlantic Canadian Kendo!
