Sunday was a truly special chapter in our sitting volleyball journey! We had the opportunity to welcome a SHSH international student from Germany to our sitting volleyball session, making it feel like a heartfelt homecoming for our Sacred Heart family. ❤️

It’s amazing to see how our community has grown since we started this journey with Ruis over two years ago. With roots from Sacred Heart High School for both Ruis (SHSH alumuni 13’) and Gabi (SHSH 27’), we’re so proud to bring together players, families, and friends—all sharing a passion for the game.

To see us all on court was a reminder of the power of sport to connect us all. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey with us. Together, we’re creating a community where everyone feels welcome and inspired to love volleyball!

🏐What a exciting day with sitting volleyball match play! Natasha’s .s.q team fought hard and emerged victorious in an intense best of 3 series, with scores of 27-25, 21-25, and 15-11! 💪✨

Part of the joy of volleyball is including your friends. David’s teammates from the girls and boys volleyball team came out today to try sitting volleyball with ATA. These players represent many local clubs. . We were so happy to have them and we had some great matches !

Hey everyone! We’re David and Gabi, two Grade 11 volleyball players from the Tigers and Sonics club volleyball teams. Over a year ago, we set out on a meaningful journey to share our passion for volleyball with our cousin Ruis, who has been a true inspiration since her accident 10 years ago.

With over 5 years of experience playing both indoor and beach volleyball, we were eager to explore a new format: sitting volleyball! We kicked off our inaugural session last year with Ruis, our cousin Alex and a small group of 5 players. This year, we’re thrilled to see our community grow! We have returning players, their families, and friends joining us, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Our goal is simple: to foster a love for volleyball in everyone!

Today was our first session of the season and it was great to see everyone back and some new friends! We started off with some energizing warm-ups, focusing on skills and drills, and had a blast playing with some giant balloons! 🌟
