Halifax Gents Leagues

HGL Summer Tournament 2025 is here! This is a DUPR rated men's doubles event at CrossCourt Dartmouth. Starting at 7 PM, 8 set-partners teams play on 4 courts, Round Robin pool play that is followed by single elimination playoffs with consolation bracket. Guaranteed 9 games for each team, and more if you advance in playoffs. Medals will be given to winners of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.

Registration and games will be run on Pickleheads app. $35.5 each player (plus $4.04 Pickleheads app service fees).

There will be 2 divisions. Aug 2 is 3.75-4.5 division, and Aug 9 is for 2.75-3.75. This is also a great opportunity for team practice for those playing in the Atlantics in September, so get your partner and sign up now! Open the link of your division below and request to join.

HGL will run weekly 4.0-4.49 & 4.5+ DUPR rated games in CrossCourt Dartmouth starting Sunday Feb 9. These will be every week 6-8 PM on courts 4 & 5.

Set partners Round Robin + playoffs at CrossCourt Dartmouth. Registration fee is the 3-hour drop-in fee, based on your CrossCourt membership tier and status (CrossCourt membership NOT required to join):
Pro members: $7.5
Serious members: $10.5
Casual members: $18
non-members: $22.5
The above plus tax. Payment onsite at the tablet.

There are 3 brackets and 5 courts. Each bracket is initially open to 5 teams, however the first 2 to fill up sooner will take 4 courts (2 each), and the bracket that didn't fill up in time will turn into a 5-player rotating partners Round Robin + playoffs on one court, and the first 5 to sign up in that bracket are the ones to be considered.

Tonight we had our midweek games at CrossCourt Bedford, 3 pools for NR-2.99, 3.0-3.49, and 3.5+. The games were so much fun and some of the rallies were just crazy!

In the first pool, Majed came first, followed by Robin then Mukesh, in the second pool Hatem was first, Amandeep second, and Ayman third. In the highest pool, Michael was first, followed by Mohamed Ezzat then Todd.

We can't get enough of CrossCourt, so tonight we had both Bedford and Dartmouth locations booked for our games. We had set partners games in Bedford and 2 pools of rotating partners in Dartmouth for different skill levels. Whatever your skill level is we always have a place for you.

In Bedford, Cyril and Shaker came first, followed by Mustafa and Mostafa, then Alex and Hatem. In Dartmouth pool NR-3.49, Blake was first, Francois second, and Majed third, and for the 3.5+, Michael was first, Andrew second, and Mohamed third.

Tonight CrossCourt Dartmouth was full of life (and d***s)! We had all 5 courts booked for us and the games couldn't be more exciting. Congratulations to the RR winners in the 2 pools we had, Cyril, Mohamed, and Michael for pool 3.25+, and Alex, Riju, and Rob for pool < 3.25. Our Jun 22 tournament was a blast! So much fun and exciting games. Thanks to everyone who participated and congratulations to our medalists! Thank you CrossCourt Pickleball for hosting us.
