Today, Xavier and Yoonji competed at the 2026 Canada Open under the coaching of Master Jo.
Xavier faced the eventual gold medalist in the first round. It was a very close and exciting match, and although he didn’t win, he fought with great spirit and showed amazing skill and courage. His performance against the champion gave us a clear glimpse of his bright future, and we are very proud of his effort and growth.
Yoonji had an outstanding day. She fought strongly against athletes from the United States and Puerto Rico and advanced all the way to the final. Unfortunately, she was injured during her semifinal match against the Puerto Rican athlete and had to give up the final. She finished with the silver medal, but her determination, heart, and performance made this medal even more valuable than gold.
Both athletes showed true fighting spirit, respect, and perseverance. We are incredibly proud of them and grateful to Master Jo for his guidance and support. This competition was another big step forward, and we look forward to what comes next!
