Check out these helpful race-day tips 🏊🚵🏃 we shared with everyone who showed up to our bike course preview ride last night:⁣

⁣🏊𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐝! Bring a wetsuit. Wetsuits are mandatory when water temperatures are below 15.9°C. Final determination of whether a wetsuit is mandatory for the swim is based on both water and air temperature and will be communicated on race morning.⁣

🤔𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐞 𝐮𝐩! Make sure to put some thought into how you are going setup your transition space on race day. Prioritize helmet placement to avoid penalties for un-racking your bike without it on and buckled! Shift your bike into an easy gear before racking it & Practice your transitions before the race.⁣

🎧𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡 & 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞. To keep everyone safe headphones cannot be worn during any leg of the race.⁣

🚌𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐩! Did you know you are required to maintain a distance of 10 meters from other riders on the bike course? Not sure how far 10 meters is? Visualize a school bus between you and the rider in front. Once you are within that distance, you must make continuous progress to pass the rider in front.⁣
