Team First Nations Women’s Lacrosse is a high-performance Indigenous lacrosse program powered by the First Nation Lacrosse Association (FNLA). This program was created to provide First Nations women and girls with a national platform to compete, develop their skills, and proudly represent their Nations, cultures, and communities through the sport of lacrosse. As the official national team program for Indigenous women under the FNLA umbrella, Team First Nations competes at the Lacrosse Canada Nationals and other sanctioned events. The program emphasizes athlete development, cultural pride, and leadership, creating pathways for First Nations athletes to succeed at elite levels while staying grounded in who they are. Team First Nations is more than a team—it is a movement for representation, empowerment, and reclamation of the Indigenous roots of the game.
