The 2026 Ancaster Mill Race took place on Tuesday, June 2nd, at the Morgan Firestone Arena in Ancaster

A big thank you to our friends at FirstOntario Credit Union, who jumped in to be the Title Sponsor for the Ancaster Mill Race. The donation from First Ontario Credit Union will go directly to support Hamilton Athletes as they aim for the podium at the International Children’s Games in Hualien, Taiwan.

The City of Hamilton is a member city of the International Children’s Games. Through this partnership, the City and the local ICG Hamilton Committee have been able to provide the cultural and sport exchange program to Hamilton athletes since 1992.

The City of Hamilton proudly hosted the Games in 1994 and 2000, and is hopeful for a successful bid for the 2028 Games.

The Sydney Wood Purple Butterfly Of Hope Foundation honours the life and legacy of Sydney Wood who passed away suddenly at the age of 11 on August 20 2012. The Foundation’s purpose is to advance charitable causes that Sydney cared deeply about.

Through the continued efforts of fundraising we hope to provide funds to organizations and other charities in our community who require assistance. We will be encouraging healthy and active lifestyles by sponsoring children pursuing athletic achievement for the love of the game as Sydney always did.
