Not Just Another Dance Studio

Every dance journey starts somewhere...this was mine.

My very first dance recital. An itchy yellow tutu (that I can still remember the smell of), tiny ballet slippers (proudly displayed in a shadow box in Studio C), and absolutely no idea where dance would eventually take me.

I certainly didn't know that one day I would own a dance studio, spend my days surrounded by dancers, teachers and families, and have the privilege of watching thousands of children experience their own first classes, first costumes and first times on stage.

Looking at this photo now reminds me that those little moments we create for children can become so much bigger than we realize.

For some, dance will be something they enjoy for a season. For others, it will become a lifelong passion. And for one shy little girl in a yellow tutu...apparently it would become her life's work. 💜

Dance has a way of bringing people together.

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming adult dancers from across Hamilton to our Summer Dance Lab Adult Jazz Series with guest instructor Cassandra Bowerman. Some dancers were longtime members of the NJADS family, while others joined us from different studios or were simply looking for a place to reconnect with their love of dance.

One of the things we're most proud of is being able to offer programming that is open to everyone. Whether you dance at NJADS, another studio, or haven't stepped into a dance class in years, you're always welcome here.

Our Summer Dance Labs are about more than learning choreography—they're about building community, challenging yourself, meeting new people, and sharing the joy of dance together.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made the week such a fun and welcoming experience. We loved dancing with you and hope to see you again soon! 💜

Always wanted to learn Tap? Danced as a child and want to rediscover your passion? Our Adult Tap classes welcome dancers of all experience levels—from absolute beginners to seasoned tappers looking to get back on the dance floor.

Watching many of you grow from your very first ballet class to the Senior RAD levels has been one of the greatest privileges. Your dedication and perseverance inspire everyone around you, and we couldn't be more proud of all you've accomplished. Congrats on passing your RAD Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate levels ladies!
