The Actioned Woman

The Actioned Woman See what you’re building. Build what matters. Become the architect of the whole. The Actioned Woman Podcast + Life Architecture work with Raquel.

Mom of two, gym owner, confidence coach, and singer-songwriter who built her life by doing what once terrified her — and now devotes her work to helping women do the same.

Women have been taught capability.

Carry it. Manage it. Produce. Perform. Keep everything moving.

And we made that version of womanhood so unbearable that of course women wanted out.

But look carefully at what we can be funnelled into next.

We move from overriding every feeling to giving every feeling authority. From endure everything to anything that feels difficult must be wrong.

Two extremes that appear to oppose each other while potentially producing the same harm.

Both can keep us asleep.

One disconnects us from ourselves by teaching us to override everything.

The other can disconnect us from ourselves by teaching us to examine nothing beyond how something feels.

And that should concern us.

Because a woman taught to distrust discomfort can slowly lose the ability to distinguish danger from development, harm from a hard conversation, attack from accountability, punishment from discipline, oppression from pressure.

And while we are busy analysing how everything makes us feel, we can stop asking the question that takes us behind the veil:

What is this building in me?

Because if every difficult feeling becomes something to escape, no one has to physically take our power from us.

We can be taught to retreat from the places where we would have discovered it ourselves.

That is the veil I want women looking behind.

Not less feeling. Not more endurance.

Question both extremes.

Because sometimes what looks like the opposite message is simply another road to the same outcome.

What if the problem isn’t that they changed?

What if the problem is that you stopped noticing?

Look around. People are being squeezed.

Financially. Mentally. Emotionally. By systems, work, expectations, the cost of simply existing.

And when the squeeze gets tight enough, you start believing there is no way out.

That is where I need you to get aware.

Because whether that pressure is systemic, cultural, economic, institutional, intentional, or some combination of all of it, do not surrender your agency to it.

Become more aware.

Question more.

Question the system.
Question what you were taught to want.
Question your definition of success.
Question the life you are defending.

Did I choose this?

Or did I inherit it?

That is what I teach in the ‘Life Architecture.’

An architect cannot control every condition surrounding the build.

Sometimes the land is difficult.
Sometimes there are restrictions.
Sometimes you inherit a structure somebody else built.

But you are still the architect.

You examine it.

What stays?
What moves?
What needs reinforcement?
What needs to come down entirely?

And yes, sometimes we DO need to escape things.

But don’t just escape long enough to tolerate them again.

Become aware enough to understand what you are escaping from.

And start building your way out.

Maybe you cannot change everything today.

Fine.

Start where your hands can reach, with one refusal to keep living something by default.

Then build again.

And again.

And again.

The tighter the squeeze gets, the easier it is to believe you have no power.

Do not surrender there.

That is when your awareness matters most.

That is when your agency matters most.

You may not control the conditions.

But you still have power in the build.

Become the architect.

What if the thing shaping your life isn’t what happened to you… but the meaning you gave it?

Two people can live through almost the exact same experience and build completely different lives from it.

Same loss.
Same rejection.
Same failure.
Same season.

Different future.

Most of us never stop to ask why.

We think we’re responding to what happened. But somewhere between the experience and the life we build afterward, something else is happening.

A conclusion gets made.
A belief gets formed.
A meaning gets attached.

And sometimes, without realizing it, we spend years building a life around it.

That’s what I unpack in Episode 7: The Meaning Layer … and once you see this layer, you start recognizing it everywhere.

What if the life you’re building isn’t asking you to prove anything?

It’s asking you to build from purpose.

When purpose leads, your ambition, motherhood, marriage, and work stop competing, and start serving the same life.

The Actioned Woman is a body of work about seeing the life you are already building and becoming more conscious of what you are building it from.

I created The Actioned Woman to explore the patterns, expectations, systems, decisions and responsibilities that quietly shape a woman’s life — and what becomes possible when we begin examining them consciously.

This is not productivity culture. It is not about doing more or becoming another version of who you are supposed to be.

It is about learning to see more clearly, act more deliberately and build a life that increasingly reflects what actually matters to you.

Through The Actioned Woman Podcast, I go deeper into purpose, identity, motherhood, partnership, work, ambition, responsibility, survival, self-leadership and the systems underneath the lives we create.

The deeper work follows three stages:

SEE — The Action Inventory
Understand what is happening.

BUILD — The Build
Turn awareness into sustained action.

ARCHITECT — The Architect
Redesign the systems underneath the whole.

You are already building a life.

The question is whether you are conscious of what you are building it from.

We are constantly living moments before we know what they mean.

I can’t stop thinking about that.

You almost never know which ordinary moment will someday become sacred to you.

You could be laughing somewhere today, completely unaware that twenty years from now you would give anything to feel the temperature of that air again.

To hear the voices around you exactly as they sounded.

To remember what it felt like to inhabit your body at this age.

To see the faces of the people you love exactly as they are right now.

To enter, for five minutes, an ordinary afternoon you didn’t yet know would become precious.

And that’s the strange thing.

The person inside the moment can never know what the person remembering it will eventually know.

The woman inside the photograph doesn’t know what the woman looking at it years later will understand.

She doesn’t know what will change.

What will remain.

What she will lose.

What she will become grateful she once had.

She is simply there.

Living something before its meaning has arrived.

Maybe that’s one of the most beautiful and difficult things about being human.

Meaning often comes after the moment.

We understand the weight of things once we’re far enough away from them to see their shape.

Which means there are things happening in your life right now that you don’t yet have the distance to understand.

A conversation you don’t know you’ll remember.

A face you don’t know you’ll miss exactly as it is.

A version of yourself you haven’t yet learned to appreciate.

An ordinary day that hasn’t revealed its importance yet.

Somewhere inside your life, right now, something may already be becoming one of the great memories of your existence.

And you have absolutely no idea.

You are still inside it.
