Yesterday, I celebrated another year around the sun, but it felt like so much more than just a birthday.
This year has been personal.
More than anything, I’ve found myself feeling so connected to the little Kayla I used to be. The one who dreamed big, laughed until her stomach hurt, found joy in the little things, and believed anything was possible.
Somewhere between all the lessons, heartbreak, growth, healing, and rebuilding, I found pieces of myself I didn’t even realize I’d lost.
I’ve learned that healing isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about coming home to yourself. Peeling back the layers life puts on you and remembering who you’ve always been.
Looking back, I can honestly say I’m proud of this chapter. It wasn’t the easiest, but it was one of the most meaningful. Every challenge strengthened me. Every setback had a purpose. Every answered prayer, and even the unanswered ones, brought me exactly where I needed to be.
So here’s to living with intention. To protecting my peace. To chasing big dreams, loving my family fiercely, trusting God’s timing, and never losing the little girl inside me.
She always knew I’d make it. 🤍
