Who is the NCCH?
The National Cycling Centre Hamilton (NCCH) is one of five nationally recognized cycling centres in Canada! We are responsible for identifying, recruiting and developing athletes and coaches, through a structures training environment, with a focus on commitment, dedication, self-disciple, and applied effort, to achieve athlete determined goals.
Many of our Alumni (such as Ben Perry and Adam Jamieson) have been recruited onto professional teams around the world. But every athlete has to start somewhere.
At the NCCH, we have 3 main programs that we offer Youth between the Ages of 10-U23. It starts with our Safe Cycling School (1st & 2nd Gear), which transforms into the Hub, and later excels into our Top Gear Program.
Our Safe Cycling School teaches Beginner riders (Ages 10+) the basics of bike riding, gear changing, safety standards and rules and more, so that by the time you graduate both 1st Gear and 2nd Gear, that child is a proficient and confident bike-rider.
