I haven't played a tournament in a while so it was great to get back out there. This was my first pro level tournament with prize money. Yesterday Mike Hurley and I went undefeated to win Gold in the Senior Men's Pro. Friday I played 2 split age Pro events where one partner has to be over 50 years old and the other under 50. Lots of fun. My mixed partner Sneha and I fought hard all day and came away with Bronze. In the Men's, Kevin and I started off slow but fought our way back to get 5th in a tough bracket. On Thursday I played my first skinny singles event and won Gold. All around it was a great tournament at Greenhills in London. Thanks to all my partners and thanks to my sponsor Selkirk Sport who make great paddles and clothing.

Finally back to playing in a tournament! I played in the Kawartha Open in Peterborough this past weekend. Won Gold in Mixed Doubles with my awesome partner Ping Wong. Also played in my first 4.5 Men's doubles tournament with Ian Campbell and got 4th. Better that I expected after moving up a division. It was a great overall weekend hanging out with pickleball friends. Thanks go out to Ryan and Deanna Hanes for organizing such a great event.

An awesome weekend at the Toronto Cup. Won gold in the Men's doubles and bronze in the Mixed doubles. Thanks to my great partners Kevin Pennington and Irina Chulkova. Huge thanks to Ryan Hanes and Deanna Hanes for organizing a great tourney. Great times with great friends!

I've still got a couple spots left in the Beginner/Novice lessons on October 28th at the Neustadt Arena. If you are fairly new to the game or are interested in learning how to play, this is a great introduction. It is open to anyone interested in playing regardless of age or physical ability!

Lessons are $20 per person and will be restricted to a maximum of 6 people per session so you get my full attention to help improve your game.

Monday, October 28th 7:00 - 8:30
Beginner/Novice Lessons (small group 4-6 people)

Who they are for: These lessons are for people new to the game or have been playing for a while but need to work on the fundamentals of the game.

Topics:
Pickleball 101 - basic intro to rules and scoring
How to hold the paddle & using the right grip pressure
Serve & return
How to hit forehand and backhand
Dinking
Basic strategy

Had a great day at the Hamilton Steeltown Showdown. Won gold in the Mens 4.0 and bronze in the Mixed 4.0. Thanks to my amazing partners Kevin Pennington and Irina Chulkova. You guys played great!
