HPC is so grateful for everything that this organization does to help keep everyone safe in our beautiful area, including providing on-water safety crews at our annual Harrison Dragon Boat Festival! Here’s an opportunity to see what else Kent Harrison Search and Rescue does!

Come celebrate 50 years of volunteer service with us!
KHSAR has reached a milestone this year, and we want to celebrate with you. Come and see our equipment, meet the team, and learn more about what we do! There will be speakers (1:00 PM), activities, prizes, and a food truck on site.

Our club is run entirely by volunteers, and this amazing woman is one of the most dedicated ones. Ashala started paddling in 2006 and stepped up to join the Board the very next year. Since then, she has held various roles: Secretary; Dragon Boat Director; Vice President and, most recently, President. Ashala led the Club for a number of years, just stepping away from the position this past February.
But Ashala, being Ashala, did not step away completely, and continued to contribute to the Club in a huge way, as a key member of the Harrison Dragonboat Committee.
No job has been too big or too small for Ashala to tackle over the years, and she has done so with grace and thoughtfulness.
At the recent Penticton Dragonboat Festival, with three of our teams on hand, the Board formally recognized Ashala’s many years of volunteerism.
Thank you so much for your passion for paddling, Ashala, and your dedication to helping make the Club a community.

HPC is extremely pleased to now have an AED in place. We hope it never has to be used, but it’s there if someone needs it.
Enormous thank you to Daryl from Projex Solutions for building the holder and donating all the materials to do so.
This crucial piece of equipment is the first installation of our in progress Safety Corner. Stay tuned for more updates!

Yesterday’s event was a roaring success! An enormous shout out to all the volunteers and the fine folks at Dragon Boat BC for another spectacular Harrison Dragon Boat Festival!
