Thank you skaters and parents for coming to our 2025-2026 season awards! We love celebrating our skaters accomplishments and making memories together!

A special shoutout to Kierra S and Juliana D - they’re graduating high school this June and we wish them all the best as they explore their next chapters in life! ❤️

Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Charlie Brown, longtime radio host and community member.

I (Coach Shaelyn) first met Charlie in 2018 when he interviewed me about my synchro team. This was my first ever synchronized skating team (High River Dreamers) and we had just competed in Calgary at the Rose Bowl competition and won silver. One of my skaters parents (Ken Braat) organized an on-air interview with Charlie Brown. I remember being so nervous that I showed up with a page of notes. He was so kind and calming right away and he loved my notes - he read them all the way through and asked his questions so that I could use my notes to help me respond. By the end of the interview, I couldn’t even remember why I was nervous in the first place. It was such a fun morning that I’ll never forget.

Thank you Charlie Brown for supporting our club for so many years! We will always remember you.

At the Star Series 4 event in Lethbridge, our skaters performed personal bests, and came home with 2 medals 🥇 🥉 and only a week later, came home with another medal! 🥉

This was also the debut season for the Silver Mist synchro team coached by Shaelyn Cooper. This inter-club team has High River, Okotoks, Stavely, and Calgary skaters and practices out of the Okotoks Skating Club. Thank you Silver Mist for skating in our showcase! 💃 ⛸️

Last but not least, we had our 80’s themed showcase to wrap up the season, where all of our skaters from CanSkate to Senior StarSkate performed their hearts out to some awesome throwback tunes 💚💛🩷

This was the debut season for Silver Mist, an inter-club synchronized skating team (with skaters from High River, Okotoks, Stavely, and Calgary) that practices out of the Okotoks Skating Club. Thank you Silver Mist for performing in our showcase! ⛸️💃

And last but not least, we had an 80’s themed showcase at the end of March where all of our skaters, from CanSkate all the way to Senior StarSkate, performed their hearts out to some awesome throwback tunes 💚💛🩷
