🌿 A Little Update from Me 🌿

As many of you know, Northern Touches has been a big part of my life — and yours — for the past few years. It’s brought me so much joy to create cozy, handmade pieces for this amazing community. Every stitch has been made with love, and I’m so grateful for the support you’ve shown me along the way.

Lately, I’ve felt a pull to explore a new creative direction — something that still feels me, just with a different kind of thread. That’s where NT Shirts & More comes in. It’s a fresh space for design, humor, and a bit of sass — and it’s been giving me the creative spark I didn’t know I needed.

Northern Touches isn’t going anywhere — it’s just settling into a quieter rhythm for now. And to be honest, I never want knitting or crochet to feel like an obligation. I want to keep the joy in it — the peaceful stitches, the cozy evenings, the slow magic of making something by hand.

The yarn’s still here (of course), but things might move a little slower on that front while I explore this new chapter.

What a weekend it has been. And the simplest thing I can say is Thank You! I’m not going to lie, I had quite a few tears shed when the Grimshaw Christmas Market was cancelled. This is always my biggest market of the year. I was sad for the organizers, the staff, the vendors and the shoppers.

But after living in the Peace Region my whole life I shouldn’t have been surprised with how people stepped up and organized many places for people to be. This area is amazing. And our shoppers showed up and preserved. I spoke to many who made the rounds to everywhere we had moved to which is heartwarming. You all really do support us. I had prepped the most stock I ever had and had an extremely successful market. So again thank you.

A special shoutout has to go to Peter and the Mall Market crew. I showed up that morning to a setup ready to go space and friendly faces. They dealt with this all with ease and made the day for us vendors. It turned into a great day.
