The Young Guys are keeping the Campbell Cup, but they needed a little help from the rulebook to do it.

For the first time in the 12-year history of the annual matches between the Old Guys and Young Guys, the Campbell Cup ended in a tie Saturday at Humboldt Golf Club.

The Old Guys appeared to be in control after five matches, building a 12.5-7.5 lead. But the Young Guys rallied, winning three of the next four matches to pull even at 18-18.

The final group finished with a 2-2 split, leaving the overall score tied 20-20.

Under the competition rules, the team that won the previous year retains the Cup in the event of a tie. The Young Guys won in 2025, allowing them to hold on to the trophy for 2026.

Calvin Teiber was named MVP after helping lead the Young Guys' comeback.
