We have our ice time booked in Horse Lake for u7-u9 until the Hythe ice is ready.

Tues/Thur

U7 - 5:00 - 5:45 pm
U9 - 5:45 - 6:30 pm

We plan to start minis as soon as the ice is ready in Hythe. So we will only be running ONE session of minis from mid November to end of February. Let us know if you want to help out coaching.

We are so EXCITED!!

RUMOUR HAS IT…

We are getting a MINI STICK RINK at the arena! During the work bee the southwest bleachers were removed to prepare for the kid zone.

It is a real prolite 30 x 10 ft mini stick rink with boards and netting for the kids to play while they are at the rink. It will be installed when the boards are put back in place.

Thank you to Troubadour Trucking & Earth Works for your contribution to the project!

We are looking for a few donations of mini sticks, foam pucks and street hockey goalie gear if you are looking to get rid of extras.

A reminder to anyone whose Respect in Sport Parent is expiring (every 3 years) the platform now accepted by Hockey Alberta is SHIFT FORWARD.

You do not have to take it until your respect in sport parent expires. If you are unsure login to your spordle account and it will tell you under qualifications.

We are getting lots of questions on how to create a NEW HCR if your child has never played so we found this helpful.

How to Create a New HCR #

(if your child has never been registered in an organization before, you must do this)

1. Go to Hockey Alberta's Spordle Page link here:

2. Click Register Now,
3. Enter info to search for child (*no result will be found)
4. You will see “NO result found” then click Create a New Participant
5. It will advance to the checkout screen
6. Select 1 for the free item labeled Create HCR Number and complete the zero-dollar purchase.
7. The system issues an HCR ID, which you can take back to your Ramp portal to complete your registration

For everyone worried about ice time for our Hythe Minor Hockey kids we have secured ice time until our arena renovations are complete!

Horse Lake Arena has generously allotted us time on Tuesdays and Thursdays to ensure our kids still get to play as get the barn all fixed up.

Stay tuned for a start up date.

In other great news we secured a GRANT for power skating this year so Power Plus will be back and it is included in your registration fees!
