π’ Volunteer Opportunity β Ice Scheduler Needed! π
The KGHA House League Program is looking for an enthusiastic and organized volunteer to take on the role of Ice Scheduler for the upcoming season.
This important role helps ensure our players have a great experience by coordinating ice allocations, managing schedules, and working with our league and arena partners. It's a great way to contribute to the success of our hockey community and make a meaningful impact behind the scenes.
Responsibilities include:

Creating and maintaining the season ice schedule
β
Coordinating game and practice times
β
Managing schedule changes and ice conflicts as needed
β
Communicating with league officials, coaches, and arena staff
If you have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for youth hockey, we'd love to hear from you!

We're looking for volunteers to help make our House League program a success this season. We are seeking dedicated Convenors for the following divisions:

As a Convenor, you'll play an important role in supporting players, coaches, and families throughout the season by helping with communication, coordination, and ensuring a positive hockey experience for everyone.

KGHA sponsor Pro Hockey Life - Kanata will be hosting PWHL & CCM Athlete, Emerance Maschmeyer on Sunday June 7th 2026. You are invited to come out and meet one of Canada's elite athletes and PWHA superstar!
Emerance Maschmeyer is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender, Olympic gold medalist, and Harvardβs all-time saves leader. Born October 5, 1994, in Bruderheim, Alberta, she developed early as a standout goalie.
At Harvard (2012β2016), she recorded 2,538 career saves and played a key role in the 2015 national championship game.
Professionally, she has played in the PWHL, including with the Ottawa Charge and Vancouver Goldeneyes, and was previously drafted in both the NWHL and CWHL.
Internationally, she has been a core member of Team Canada since 2014, winning Olympic gold in 2022 and multiple IIHF World Championship medals, including three golds π

. She was also named Best Goaltender at the 2016 Worlds and is widely regarded as one of the top goaltenders in womenβs hockey.

The Walter Cup is coming to Canada this year! π¨π¦π
The Ottawa Charge and Montreal Victoire are in the midst of a ferocious best-of-5 series to earn the PWHL's ultimate prize in 2026. Ottawa's home games take place at Canadian Tire Centre--game 3 is on Monday, May 18th, and game 4 is on Wednesday, May 20th.
