Public Notice – Sports Palace Closed

The Town of Kapuskasing is advising residents that the Sports Palace has sustained damage due to heavy snow load on the south side of the building, which may have compromised the structure.

Out of an abundance of caution, the facility has been evacuated and closed until further notice.
All activities and events have been cancelled.

Town staff are working with professionals to assess the extent of the damage. Public safety remains our top priority.

Residents are asked to avoid the area while assessments are underway.

Updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
