The future of Kawartha Fury starts with YOU! 🔥

Our Annual General Meeting is happening THIS WEEK — and we NEED people to step up! A strong club doesn’t happen on its own. It takes volunteers, fresh ideas, and people who care about giving our players the best experience possible.

We have important roles to fill, including:

🔥 Technical Director
🔥 Equipment Manager
🔥 Sponsorship & Fundraising Director
🔥 Directors at Large (2 positions)

Whether you have years of lacrosse experience or simply want to help our kids and our club thrive, there’s a place for you at the table!

🥍🔥 ’TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE SIXES — FURY GOALIE EDITION 🔥🥍

’Twas the night before Sixes, and all through the house,
Not a goalie was sleeping—not even a mouse.
The gear bags were packed, the sticks by the door,
“WHERE IS MY GLOVE?!” — “I HAD TWO BEFORE!” 😂

The helmets were ready, the pads were strapped tight,
The goalies were bouncing with pure pre-game fright.
Tomorrow brings shots flying left and right,
And goalies who swear, “YEP, I’VE GOT THIS!” all night.

They’ll dive and they’ll dodge, they’ll leap and they’ll sprawl,
They’ll make some HUGE saves and chase down the ball.
They’ll fist-bump their teammates, then shout with delight,
Then ask, “When’s our next game?” before leaving the site. 🤦‍♀️

There’ll be balls to be stopped and loose balls to chase,
A whole lot of hustle to bring to the place.
They’ll stand tall in the crease, give Fury their best,
While the shots keep on coming—no time for a rest!

So sleep tight, young goalies, let dreams fill your head,
Dream of saves, sticks and shots flying wide instead.
Tomorrow’s the day, so bring all your pride—

🔥 TOMORROW. IT’S TIME. 🔥

The day we’ve worked, battled, sweated, cheered, packed approximately 47 bags of gear, and probably asked “Where’s my water bottle?” 900 times for… PROVINCIALS. 🥍

It’s time to leave it ALL on the field.

Play hard.
Play fair.
Play for each other.
And play with that Fury fire. 🔥

Parents — this one’s for you too. 📣
CHEER LIKE YOU MEAN IT. Bring the energy, bring the noise, bring the ridiculous sideline enthusiasm… but keep those cheers positive, supportive and respectful. We are all representing Fury, and we want to be the team everyone is proud to stand beside.

And while you’re watching the games, don’t just watch the scoreboard.

Watch for the moments. ❤️

The player taking a knee after a hard shift.
The goalie fist bumps. 🥍
The pats on the back from coaches.
The teammate who runs over after someone scores their very first goal.
The games of tag happening between games with kids from another team.
The moms from different teams sharing highly important intelligence about which washroom is actually the best one. 😂
The sideline siblings finding new best friends in approximately 14 seconds.
The laughs. The nerves. The hugs. The “WE GOT THIS!” moments.

Because yes — Provincials are about competing at our best.
But they’re also about the memories we make along the way.

There will be wins. There will be tough moments. There will probably be some questionable snack choices and at least one missing piece of equipment. 😂

But long after the final whistle, those are the moments we’ll remember.

So tomorrow…

🔥 PLAY HARD.
🔥 PLAY FAIR.
🔥 CHEER LOUD.
🔥 LIFT EACH OTHER UP.
🔥 MAKE THE MEMORIES COUNT.

Our U13 Fury teams are back at home TODAY taking on Huntsville! 🥍

Last week’s games went so well, we thought, “You know what? Let’s do that again!” Because apparently one round of chilly fall lacrosse wasn’t enough. 😂

So grab your chairs, blankets, coats, mittens, toques… basically everything you’d pack for winter camping and come cheer on the Fury!

That’s right… 7 hours of lacrosse. Seven hours of goals, saves, big plays, and hopefully only a reasonable amount of sideline chaos. 😂

🚗🔥 ROAD TRIP MODE: ACTIVATED! 🔥🚗

Our U15 Fury teams are hitting the road and heading to Quinte for their final weekend of sixes games of the season!

And because it’s Canadian fall… apparently Mother Nature couldn’t decide what season she wanted. 😂🥶☀️

🌅 Frost on the windshield in the morning? Yep.
🥵 Hot and sweaty by the afternoon? Also yep.
🏑 Non-stop lacrosse? ABSOLUTELY.

It’s the LAST weekend of games, and we couldn’t be more proud of these teams. They’ve battled, learned, laughed, hustled, and continued to show up all season long — and now they get one more road trip to finish it off!

So load up the gear, pack the snacks, find the missing water bottles, make sure nobody leaves their stick at home… 😂

Quinte, here we come! 🔥
