The Fall Equinox marks a rare moment of equilibrium and balance. It is one of two days of the year when day and night meet in almost equal measure — light and darkness coming into balance before we begin the slow, gradual movement away from summer and towards winter.
In yoga, balance does not mean that everything is perfectly static or that opposing forces disappear. True balance is our ability to remain centred while things are changing. As Nicki often says, change is the only constant. We must learn how to navigate change if we are to find balance in our own lives, and yoga practice is a way — a tool — to help us do just that.
The Equinox offers an opportunity to explore this in body, mind and spirit through the practice of yoga. This 3-hour Maya Yoga Master Class will work with the equal and opposite forces that are always present in practice: Sthira and Sukha — strength and sweetness, effort and surrender, expansion and contraction, being and doing, holding on and letting go.
This will be a well-rounded and deeply intentional practice exploring these relevant themes in both yoga and life.
Open to students of all levels. The only requirement is an open mind and an open heart.

Join Jane Howell for an immersive exploration of the breath as a gateway into greater awareness, embodiment, and intentional living.
Through philosophy, contemplation, simple embodied movement, traditional yogic practices, and an experiential breath journey, we’ll investigate one powerful idea: how you breathe is how you live.
Your breath is one way to hear your body’s story. Come curious and leave with a deeper relationship to your body, your breath, and a simple practice you can return to every day.
The body becomes the first place we practice living the life we desire.

We’re so happy to officially welcome Amy to the Pranify teaching team Amy Colman, RHN ♡⃤ ʜᴏʟɪsᴛɪᴄ ɴᴜᴛʀɪᴛɪᴏɴɪsᴛ
If you’ve spent time around the studio, there’s a good chance you’ve already met Amy. She’s been part of our front desk team for some time now, warmly welcoming students as they arrive, and over the past little while she’s also been sharing her teaching with our community.
Amy’s path into yoga began through her own healing journey after a car accident as a teenager. What started as physical rehabilitation became a lifelong exploration of yoga, holistic nutrition, and Ayurveda. Since 2017, she has taught in a wide variety of settings—from private homes and corporate offices to athletic clubs—bringing a grounded, thoughtful, and deeply adaptable approach to every class.
Her teaching is rooted in the belief that yoga should meet you where you are. With an emphasis on alignment, breath, philosophy, and honouring each individual body, Amy creates practices that leave students feeling steady, nourished, and connected.
As both a holistic nutritionist and Ayurvedic practitioner, she gently weaves these sister sciences into her teaching, offering a practice that supports the whole person.
We know you’ll love practising with Amy!
Join Amy for her next class The Roots on Saturday, August 15 at 8am in the Sun Room

All Vinyasa classes have now evolved into our new class style 🔅 Rise 🔅
While the name is changing, if you’ve practiced with me before, it will be familiar.
I arrive with the intention of listening as I lead.
My teaching comes from a deep devotion to getting out of the way, becoming a hollow bone, and allowing the living wisdom of yoga to move through our bodies and the space.
My Rise classes will weave together Asana (poses, physical movement), Pranayama (breathing techniques), Mantra (sutras, phrases, prayers), meditation (focus), Śabda (sound), devotion and reverence for what we get to do, Savasana (relaxation), realization (awareness of our truth or true nature) all bundled into one journey.
It isn’t a set sequence, which means each class evolves naturally and intuitively while staying grounded in a shared intention and direction.
My hope is that you leave feeling little shifts towards what you desire. When we embody a feeling in our body, we can open up to having that same experience in our mind and that eventually leads to impacting in our lives in a similar way. This is the power of yoga.
It is such a privilege to share this practice, reach out if you have questions. I will lead all levels of practitioner towards their own peak - so don’t shy away if you feeling new to yoga or working with any limitations.
🌞 In love and service, Jane Jane Howell
