Hello All, thank you all for your help over the years. The rink has now been disassembled. There are talks to see if we can find another location and will keep this page updated. Please stand by. Thank you.

Sadly, the Black Mountain Ice rink has been dismantled. We will let you know if anything changes in the future.

Weather is going to be getting cold on Sunday. Looking for any volunteers to scrape the rink and remove some of the snow. Doesn’t need to be perfect. The shallow end closet to the road needs to be almost perfect. The deep end by the course can have some snow left in to help fill it up faster. A few cold days and snow removed and not mountainous in the rink will be skating in no time.

Here’s hoping it gets cold enough to put in the liner, but the 10 day forecast is all above 0. Might not be our year for 🏒

We need at least a few days of -10 before we can freeze the rink properly and the snow is the worst for start up. Joe Rich isn’t available yet either 😫 Sorry everyone, we will get it started ASAP! We have the liner waiting!

Getting the rink all cleaned up after the winter season. Looking to start it all hockey night very soon. Thanks for everyone’s help this year! The amount of snow made a tough year for the rink. Here’s to a long, hot ☀️summer!

The rink is frozen. If people want to shovel it we will apply water at night time so you and your families can use it this weekend. Supposed to be -9 tonight so it will be in great shape if we get water on it. Thanks.

Hello all. Rink is rough but if we can get some people to remove the snow we can flood it at night. Weather is cold enough at night. If you remove the snow please skate on it. Couple of areas to worry about. Other than that have fun. Please scrape when you are done as it helps us put a nice layer of hot water on it. Thank you. Just wanted to make sure that everyone heard that the Rockets will not be playing on the Black Mountain Rink tomorrow. The ice is quite slushy right now due to our warmer weather.

The ice rink will be closed this week in preparation for the Kelowna Rockets playing on our rink- 🥅Sunday, January 21 at 12:00pm. 🏒Come on out and cheer them on. 🙌🏻There is an opportunity for your little skater ⛸ to join them after their game against a lucky KMHA team!
