Paws It Forward was founded in 2011 with a crucial mission: to rescue dogs from high-kill shelters. Today, they rescue and rehome hundreds of dogs each year with the help of an amazing volunteer network.

🦀 Our second annual Long Table Seafood Boil turned up the heat at 6,000 ft—crab, shrimp, clams, mussels, corn, potatoes, and smoky sausage served straight on the table for a no-forks, full-flavour kind of night.

Behind every bite: sustainably sourced seafood, much of it fresh from BC waters.
With standout wines from Lightning Rock Winery, surprise dishes from The Woods’ team hitting the table, and the best kind of crowd around it—it all just clicked.

What a night! Our culinary team is still riding high after Saturday’s second Annual Seafood Boil—a feast that brought together incredible people, unforgettable flavours, and the magic of Big White Village at 6,000 feet.
This year’s event was made even more special through our continued collaboration with Lightning Rock Winery, whose thoughtful pairings elevated every dish.
One of the most meaningful moments of the evening was celebrating Executive Sous Chef Paula Borza, who concluded her tenure with us this weekend. Paula has been a quiet force behind so many of Big White’s signature events—Big Reds, Fire & Ice, Junior Master Chef, long table dinners—and her leadership, creativity, and steady presence have helped shape the heart of our kitchen.
