Just got our copies of This is Fu Jow Pai, written by Giuseppe Aliotta and Grandmaster Wai Leung and giving it to my senior student Chad Sikora after a great morning training session 🤛🐅
I can't recommend this book highly enough. Not only is it a comprehensive and beautifully put together guide to Fu Jow Pai, but an inspiring work on mastery and mindfulness that could be applied to any art. Essential reading for all martial artists!

No Class Tonight!
Sorry to say I have to cancel tonight. I flared up my neck training yesterday and will need the night to recover.
We will have class as usual next week, and anyone who wants to come in for a makeup class is also welcome to come next Tues and we can do a mixed Tai Chi/Kung Fu class to help everyone on what to work on.
Also I will have shirts/pants ready next week for everyone who ordered them.

Hello everyone!
This is long but important as an update to share regarding future classes.
As many of you know, I took a break from teaching for the last 2 years primarily due to the growth of both my family and my acupuncture practice. Last summer I was inspired by a few people reaching out to start training as well as the opportunity to go to New York and connect with Grandmaster Wai Hong and the rest of the Fu Jow Pai Federation. I decided to dip my toes back in and reopen the school to start teaching again.
In the last few months, it has been wonderful seeing old and new faces come out with enthusiasm for Fu Jow Pai, and our tai chi classes. I know many of you also have tried your best to make it work despite life and family commitments!
With all that being said, I am also faced with the logistic realities of balancing the various areas of my life, the first priority of which is my role in supporting my family. I have also recently been asked to deepen my involvement in our Church, which is as essential to me as anything.
It has become apparent that I do not have the time or financial resources at this stage to dedicate the energy required to growing into a commercial school or expanding classes.
As we are expecting a baby in June, it also seems I will not be able to offer classes twice weekly as I had initially tried to do. However, I remain dedicated to you all as students and practitioners of Fu Jow Pai, an art that has been deeply impactful in my life over the last 20+ years.
My plan, moving forwards, is to shift our school from a business to more of an inner door club with you as current students being my priority rather than getting new members. We will continue to have classes as usual through March, but after that classes will be offered as monthly seminars. These will be longer so that we can review basics and then go deeper into the forms and fighting applications. We may also meet outdoors in the summer as the weather improves, and can share food or jump in the lake after!
My apologies for not being able to offer more as a Sifu at this time as my life is clearly presenting another path. What I can say is that the path to mastery of Fu Jow Pai, or even to pass down the art yourself, is present here still and available to anyone who wants to seize the opportunity and dedicate themselves to personal training at home, or even in our school meeting up with each other - I always had a brother in the art to practice with.
If you also decide to train elsewhere for more frequent training and the comraderie of a bustling school, I would not only understand but even encourage you to do so!
With love and gratitude to you all,
Sifu Falko

Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a restful holiday season full of warmth and hope for 2025! I certainly managed to spend quality time with family, and am now looking forward to getting back to training with you all.
First of all, I want to update you that our first class begins tonight with Kung Fu at 7pm! We will continue to have Kung Fu every Thurs. Tai Chi classes will be every Tues at 7pm EXCEPT I have had to move next week's class to Monday at 5pm. My apologies for the scheduling confusion. So our first Tai Chi class will be Jan 6 at 5pm with NO CLASS on Jan 7. Following that we will have regular scheduling every Tues evening. Please let me know if you can make it on Monday.
I want to remind everyone who replied to the promo ad for the New Year that the offer for new students is $150 for 3 months of classes from January to March (either Tai Chi or Kung Fu, or $300 for both). Everyone is welcome to a free trial class to check it out before committing, but would ask everyone interested to please let me know and register before Tues Jan 14. If you know anyone interested have them contact me even if they didn't see the ad and I will honor the promo rate for them!
For existing students, due to last month's scheduling and to keep in the spirit of a New Year promo, January will be 50% of regular rates for classes. Cash is preferred but e-transfer is also fine. Please keep in touch through our telegram group with any questions about training and for video content to help keep up practice at home.
With all that being said, I want to welcome everyone old and new to the kwoon (school) for 2025! We are just getting started with the relaunch of the school and I can't wait to see what the New Year brings. We will continue our basics, conditioning, forms practice, sparring, pushing hands, weapons training, and maybe even look at local tournaments for those interested. It is what we make of it, so let's keep up our training together and start the year strong like tigers!
