LOCKED IN FOR THE LADY RAIDERS 🔥
W🏀 is set to face Texas Tech Lady Raiders in Langley on Monday, August 10. The game will mark the Heat’s second-ever matchup against NCAA opposition as they will face a Texas Tech team that reached the round of 32 at last year’s NCAA Tournament.
Admission to the game at the Langley Events Centre will be free 🎟️

COMING HOME 🏠
M🏀 is excited to announce the commitment of Tarun Saroya to the Heat for the 2026-27 season 🔥
Tarun, a 6-6 guard from Kelowna, joins the Heat from Erie Prep Academy after previously attending Kelowna SS.
Last season in Pennsylvania, Tarun was named the Ohio Prep Conference Player of the Year and was ranked inside the Top 35 for all players in the state. He also helped lead Erie Prep to their first-ever regular season championship 🏆
While at UBCO, Tarun will study in the Bachelor of Arts program 📚

We are excited to announce that Spencer Pommells has been named our new Director, Varsity Athletics 🔥
Pommells joins UBCO from the University of Lethbridge where he has worked for the Pronghorns for the last 10 years, most recently serving as their Director of Athletics.
A former U SPORTS Men’s Hockey Player of the Year and 3x Academic All-Canadian with the Windsor Lancers, Pommells brings a balanced perspective from across Athletics and Recreation to his new position. He will start in his new role on September 1, 2026.

Hats off to M⛳️ rookie Oakley Mayner on winning the individual silver medal 🥈 at the 2026 Canadian University/College Championship 👊
Mayner’s result is the best-ever individual finish by a UBCO men’s golfer at the event and he became the 2nd Heat men’s golfer to earn All-Canadian honours as a result.
