Coming home to the Okanagan 💙💛

W🏐 is excited to announce the addition of transfer Devyn Hildebrand who comes back to the Okanagan to join the Heat after a year with the Manitoba Bisons.

Devyn is a 5-11 outside hitter from Vernon who attended Vernon SS and played her club volleyball with Sky and T2 volleyball clubs. She also represented Team BC in 2023.

“We are happy that Devyn is returning to the Okanagan and joining our program,” said Heat head coach Steve Manuel. “She is a hard worker, athletically gifted with strong attacking and passing abilities. I believe that Devyn with fit in nicely with the returning players as well as the incoming recruits.”

“I chose UBCO because of the strong culture, supportive coaching staff, and the opportunity it brings to grow as an athlete and person,” said Hildebrand on her decision to join the Heat. “I admire the competitive and supportive environment this program brings and I can’t wait to be a part of such a great team! Go Heat!”

While at UBCO, Devyn will study in the Bachelor of Arts program in Psychology.

Koskie helps guide Canada to gold at NORCECA U19 Men’s Continental Championship - University of British Columbia Okanagan BURNABY, B.C. – UBCO Heat men's volleyball head coach Scott Koskie can add another medal to his trophy case after helping guide Canada to gold at the NORCECA U19 Men's Continental Championship that wrapped up on Sunday on the campus of Simon Fraser University.

Honouring Lucia Boersma 💙💛

We are inviting members of the Heat community to come together to celebrate her impact by establishing the Lucia Boersma Student-Athlete Award. This award will carry Lucia’s legacy forward by providing direct support to student-athletes while honouring the pride and care she brought to her work every day.

Please consider donating to the award as we look to raise $25,000 which will unlock an additional $25,000 in matching funds and help create an endowed award that will support student-athletes for years to come.
