Amira Brooks Flamenco Kelowna Based Flamenco dance instructor, professional performer and choreographer. Flamenco has a way of getting a hold of you.

Amira has studied extensively in Canada and abroad; she brings a wealth of knowledge and an abundance of passion for Flamenco. I started my Flamenco dance journey about 25 years ago and upon first encounter was completely hooked. For me it is a place of absolute expression where everything is accepted and no experience or feeling is too much. Amongst many wonderful teachers in Canada; I've been privileged enough to take classes with some of the greats including Farru (Farruquito's brother, Antonio El Pipa, Maria del Mar Mareno and Maria Jose Franco. My mission with Amira Brooks Flamenco is to build a strong and vibrant community; a judgment free place to support each other, have fun and make memories.

A little update for my dance community ❤️

I’m going to be taking a short hiatus from teaching while I take some time to tend to some health and family matters and be there for some important family members.

Because of this, I won’t be teaching classes in September or October. My hope is to possibly return to teaching in November, but I’ll keep everyone updated as things become clearer.

I’m sorry for the pause, and I truly appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and continued support. ❤️

For those who subscribe to my Patreon, I may not be adding new content or updates for the next little while. Please feel free to unsubscribe for now if you’d prefer, and I’ll let everyone know when I’m ready to return to Patreon.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for resources, exercises, music, or recommendations for ways to continue learning and practicing flamenco at home, please feel free to reach out. I’m happy to point you in the right direction.

Thank you all so much for your support, understanding, and kindness during this time. ❤️💃

Much love Amira
