I wish to extend my heart felt thanks to the Members of Kelowna's RCMP and community who helped find and return the GT Transeo to Bikeways.
please be on the lookout for a Green GT Transeo, recently stolen from our shop. I am just at a loss for words right now, but things like this impact everyone in the comminity.

A huge thank you to Ben Vos of Myra Canyon Bicycle Rentals for the donation of 20 bikes to Bikeways.

Straight From DeHart - July 1, 2026
Ben Vos, owner of Myra Canyon Bicycle Rentals, has donated 20 new bicycles to Pathways Abilities Society’s BikeWays program. Operated by Pathways Abilities Society, BikeWays gives new life to gently used bicycles and helps make cycling more affordable for individuals and families. Its mission is simple but powerful: reduce waste, create training and employment opportunities, and make transportation and recreation more accessible. Donations of any kind of bike support the people working and learning at BikeWays. Assembling, repairing, organizing, and preparing bikes for use helps participants develop technical skills, customer service experience, teamwork, and pride in a job well done. The donation of 20 new bikes strengthens that mission in a meaningful way. Now, 20 people will have a reliable way to get to work, school, appointments, recreation, or community programs. Twenty bikes may seem modest, but through BikeWays they become much more: training opportunities, affordable transportation, environmental stewardship, and community connection. Cyclists are encouraged to register for spring GoByBike Week in Kelowna.
The City of Kelowna is encouraging people to register for GoByBike Week, and it’s offering incentives.
Registration is open for spring GoByBike Week. Residents who sign up to be part of the event and log their rides between May 30 and June 5 will be entered to win prizes.
“Whether commuting to work, running errands, visiting friends and family or exploring Kelowna’s scenic pathways, every ride counts,” said Avery Schneider, transportation planner.
“GoByBike Week encourages people of all ages and abilities, from first-time riders to seasoned cyclists, to get involved and experience the many benefits of cycling, including saving money on gas, staying active and having fun along the way."
Last year, GoByBike Week events across B.C. translated into 790,000 rides covering 12 million kilometres through LogMyRide.
“It is a clear and consistent dataset that demonstrates the scale of engagement and the growing role of active transportation across the province. We’re already seeing that momentum carry forward, with a 10% increase in ridership in the first quarter of 2026,” said Quentin Randall, executive director of GoByBikeBC.
The City of Kelowna continues to invest in biking infrastructure across the community. One of the latest projects is the pathway going in along Bertram Street, which will connect the Sutherland Avenue and Cawston Avenue bike paths.
For full details and to registers for GoByBike Week, which is May 30 to June 5, 2026, visit gobybikebc.ca/kelowna.

Kind words from one of our Customers,
we look forward to your next trip.
Hello!
I hope you are doing good.
My name is Véronique from Quebec. I went to your bikeshop in june to buy a bike to do a bikepacking trip in the Okanagan Valley. I am writing to you like i said i would do. Dominique and a tall guy that im sorry i forgot his name, helped me choosing a bike and installed 2 racks.
My trip went wonderful. It was sometimes difficult, but it’s normal!
I did not go to Alberta! My bike skills were not good enough to do that big of a trip and i quickly realised it! The Okanagan had more hills than i thought. Hahaha 🚴🏻♀️⛰⛺️
I stayed in the Okanagan. People from Bc, Alberta and from Quebec helped me. I even had 2 cars/truck rides to help me! 😅
I am so grateful for this trip that I did.
Bc is a beautiful province, i love it. Also the people are very kind. I saw some beautiful landscapes. I will come back for sure. What an adventure!
I tried to pick cherry! Very difficult hahaha.🍒🌲
It was maybe my first Bikepacking trip, but not the last. It was something completely new and the unknown for me but i quickly got used to it! I like it 🚴🏻♀️🇨🇦⛰
My bike paniers were wonderful. My bike lock was great to. I did not had a flat tire which im very grateful for. I had problems with breaks but some nice people help me to repair it.
I love sleeping in my little tent and cooking on my tiny bikepacking stove.
Well, I found a new job now but i know that i will go back to visit more BC and do some more bikepacking trips. I thank you guys so much for the amazing help finding me a good bike. I felt confident to start this trip very nicely.
Take care guys
